The Group Motion Workshop, based in Philadelphia, was created by Brigitta Herrmann and Manfred Fischbeck as an outgrowth of their work with the Group Motion Dance Company. Led by Manfred and Brigitta, the workshop combines unique and highly refined structures of improvisation, movement, play and contact dance with explorations of breath, sound, flow and movement quality. These improvisational structures reflect universal patterns of communication found in nature and the human psyche; and, they are used in the workshop to create an exchange of human spirit and potential through movement and music.
