This egroup, which is sponsored by the Lakeshore Chapter of the Sacred Dance Guild, welcomes people of all faiths and traditions in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin who share a common
interest in dance as a form of spiritual expression. Please join in order to get messages sent to you and to post sacred, liturgical, religious, praise and worship concerts, events, workshops, and prayer services that will feature movement and dance ministries. Sacred dance encompasses all movement that expresses or enhances spiritual experiences. It may be a part of a worship service, a group experience or a private spiritual practice. The Lakeshore Chapter nurtures sacred dance by promoting it, organizing educational opportunities, sharing experience and resources, and encouraging networking. We respect each other in our diversity, create with courage, move towards excellence and honor the Divine. Our vision is that, in America's heartland, a diverse network of sacred dancers and advocates will spark the renaissance of dance as a universal language of spirituality and celebration.
