The Gospel According To Merlin:

An Entity traveled all possible roads during numerous incarnations. It
experienced all levels of so called  good and evil and made just about every
mistake possible. Finally it discovered a simple straight forward way to
enlightenment.  That is harmony between the physical and the spiritual. The
Entity was now capable of moving on, but it decided to share it's knowledge
with it's brothers and sisters still stuck in the ruts as it had been for so
long. It decided to incarnate one last time to share it's way with humankind.

It incarnated and was named Yeshua.  Yeshua came into the world fully aware.
From the beginning he remembered all his past lives and all the lessons
learned.  He lived a perfect life as an example to others.  He was showing
them the way.

Yeshua began to gather together those he would teach. When he saw and
recognized them to be fairly advanced, he would call them to him by name.
They would drop what they were doing and follow him.

Soon great numbers of people heard of him and began to crowd about him.  He
knew the truth could only be revealed to and digested by small groups of
people, so he took his disciples to the mountain to teach them.

"Do not think that I have come to do away with the law of God because I don't
observe the law of the religious leaders.  I have not.  In fact to achieve
enlightenment you must be more righteous than they.  They observe their law
in outwards appearances.  But in their hearts and minds they are greedy and
cheaters.  You must be in perfect harmony both in appearance and in your
heart.  You must do nothing, say nothing, or think nothing in secret that you
would not do in a crowded assembly. You must do this not because of fear of
punishment but because you truly want to.

Do not seek revenge against those who do you wrong.  They will provide their
own punishment.  You ask that they learn their lessons quickly.  Remember you
are all of God and if it chooses to not punish them, why should you?
Therefore be perfect in body  just as your spiritual parent is perfect in
spirit.

Don't make a big fuss over giving alms to the poor to show how wonderful and
generous you are.  Give what you give in secret, if possible don't even let
the receiver know you are the one who gave.  Don't give for a reward.  Give
because you want to help.

When you pray, don't make a big show of that either.  You are praying to
communicate with God, not to impress people.

When you pray, say something like this: Our spiritual parent, may we follow
your way on this plane of existence and on the next.  Treat us exactly the
same way we treat others. And show us the true way to enlightenment for you
know better than us.

Don't worry about the future.  The future will take care of itself in ways
you cannot plan for.

Reinventing the wheel:

This current thread is titled "Reinventing the wheel."  That is very
appropriate for a Gnostic list.  That is exactly what we must do.  Each and
every one of us must find the Gnosis for ourselves, that is we must reinvent
the wheel.  We can't borrow someone else's wheel or salvation.  No one else
can sell, give or lend enlightenment to us.  We must do it for ourselves.
Yes, we can take hints from others, we can discuss the path they are on, but
what works for them may not work for us.  Salvation is a do it yourself
project and that means you must do it yourself.

Now, I have to go work on my wheel.

Good and evil:

In order to be successful an animal develops certain attributes commonly
called survival of the fittest.  Animals eat all they can even at the expense
of smaller, weaker animals. Animals take all they can for themselves.  They
are selfish and greedy. Big, healthy, greedy animals are successful. These
animals are not evil, they are animals.  Think about it.  Most traits we
think of as bad or evil are successful animal behavior.

When humans evolved to the point where the spirit within them could be self
aware, they looked around and saw the animal behavior.  They subconsciously
remembered their spirit values and declared the animal values to be wrong,
bad, evil and "of the flesh." Of course they could not stop their human host
from indulging in human behavior. They decided they must be under evil
influence, so they invented the devil, the evil one, who was influencing
them.  They decided the physical was evil and the spirit was good.  They then
aspired to return home to the spirit.

The physical and the spiritual are two halves of the same thing.  Or destiny
is not to return to the spirit.  Or destiny is to learn how to assimilate the
physical and the spiritual into one entity.  Don't try to defeat your animal
body. Learn how to live in physical and spiritual harmony.

Gods:

There are levels of God.

The greatest is the Universal God; the Universe.  The Universe itself may be
part of an even greater god, but of that we have no knowledge.

Each galaxy is a level of God. Each star system (solar system) is a level of
God. Each has a spiritual and a physical.

When humans became self aware they began to understand there is a spiritual
side to existence. The first level of the spirit they came into contact was
their personal guardian, also called their guardian angel, their higher self,
their saint, their spirit guide etc.  This is the first level of God above
the individual. We each have one of our very own.  Next they became aware of
other levels. They called them gods. Today most people call them angels or
ascended masters. The planet itself has a spirit.  We call it God, Sophia,
God the Father, Mother Earth, Yehweh, Brahman and other names meaning the
same thing. These are some of the levels and names of levels of God.  There
are many more.

Put another way, but meaning the same thing, there are many Gods. Thus the
statement "there is only one God" and the statement "there are many Gods" are
not in conflect with each other, and both are true.

Remember you, yourself, constitute one level of God.

In the beginning:

In the beginning there was a single thought and a single hydrogen atom.  The
thought was expand and the atom did just that; the Big Bang! God created
itself; the Universe.

The God/Universe formed with two parts. Physical and Spirit.

The physical condensed into clouds, then into stars and planets. The spirit
corresponded with the physical.

Each galaxy had a corresponding consciousness. Just as the galaxy was divided
into stars, so was the  consciousness divided.  Thus each star system (solar
system) has it's own God, A part of the Universe just as the sun is a part of
the whole Universe, but with it's own identity just as the sun has it's own
identity.

The Spirit as thought was conscious, the physical, as matter, was not.

In accordance with the original Thought, a part of the physical began to
arrange itself into physical life.

The physical life could not think.  It could only act in accord with the laws
of physics. The Spirit could not act. It could only think.

Physical life began to evolve. When it had evolved to a certain point Spirit
was able to eject a tiny part of itself into the physical. These tiny points
of consciousness were separated from but still a part of the Spirit just as
the Spirit was separated from but still a part of the galaxy spirit just as
the galaxy Spirit was separated from but still a part of the Universal Spirit.

We, humans, are that current result of both physical and spiritual evolution.

We are several layers removed from the Universal God, yet at the same time we
are a part of the Universal God.  It was no accident and it is not evil.  It
is all a part of the original Thought.

ACIM says that Faith and Belief are not necessary, but a Knowledge of the

The creator of this world is not God. This world is Illusatory. Illusion
does not exist. Thereby the creator of this world MUST BE demented, for

Again, this world is illusion. The Deranged Deity is not really a deity.
And the evil is only perceived, but what that "intent of separation -

This realm is not of Illusion, but is of Truth and Light. This realm was
created by the One True God.

and knows only illusion. The Soulself was created by The One True God. The
littleself was conned by the "demented one", or the Ego.

This is very rudimentary and self-explanatory when describing spiritual
beings that are unlimited. Yet littleselfs reading this would balk
greatly.

This divine counterpart is the Soulself. The dangerous magician disguised

itself. It is the Ego that whispers Falseness in our ears, conning us into
forgetting the inner voice of truth.

Your littleself cannot accomplish transcendance of the littleself. Your
Soulself can, except most of the time the Soulself is so entranced in its
projection of who you think you are that it can forget that you are
actually scared and fear for your life, and that you need help. It's like
playing a video game, and truely believing you are Mario, not the guy at
the controller.

That's because the Matrix has been known about, but Christ was the first
to completely transcend it. He came into the Matrix knowing who he was as
a Soulself, and kept the littleself at bay until his trials in the desert,
where he banished it from him for good.

Magick is a seeming of affecting the illusion. If you affirm the illusion,
then it is magick. If you know Truth, there is no Illusion, there is no
spoon, and there is no magick. There is only Mind.

This is the evolution of mankind. This process is not good nor evil, and
Mankind created the illusion by believing the "serpent" or "ego" or
whatever you call this false deity who is not divine, who really does not
exist.

Whether we give allegiance to Separation or Oneness, and the Separation is
the Derangement itself. Christ taught Oneness, Love, Peace, Stillness. He
taught us to Be Still And Know God.

Of course knowing this is to court disaster. "Of those who come to know
the world have discovered a carcass. And of those who have discovered a
carcass, the world is not worthy." But remember the Matrix. There are
those who shall fear and hate those who seek this Truth. After all,
the Deranged One has to attempt to keep the Matrix going. It is our job to
overcome it.

Prayer

I do pray, but I don't beg.  Prayer is my word for talking to God. I don't
lower my head and plead. My heavenly parent is not some dictatorial despot.
I stand flat footed and look up and believe I am looking God eyeball to
eyeball. I am not the equal of God.  No child is the equal of the parent.
But I am not a slave of God.  I am a child of God and I talk to God as a
child should talk to a parent and not as a frightened slave to a cruel master.

It is my opinion that if God don't like how I am praying, God can object.  So
far I have received no objection from God.  And yes, I have received many
messages from God over the years, and some were critical of things I was
doing or saying.

Visualization

You are at work and having a bad day.  Everybody, boss, clients, government
inspectors, have all been chewing on your butt all day.  You escape to a
quite corner.  You close your eyes and think of the most pleasant place you
can imagine.  You picture this pleasant place and relax. After a few minutes
you have calmed down and are ready to face the morons once again.

Stress management?  Yes it is.  It is also meditation.  Many of you have been
managing stress as suggested by the experts by visualization meditation and
didn't even know it.

Contemplation as meditation

Some people meditate by contemplation.  They seat themselves as in the simple
exercise I outlined.  Instead of focusing on an object and clearing their
mind, they focus on an idea or a subject and concentrate all their energy on
thinking about that one thing.

Chanting is a form of meditation.

Chanting is a traditional mystical Christian form of meditation.  You
memorize a bible verse, usually a psalm. Then you chant it over and over.
Some monks in monasteries still use this type of meditation.

Meditating alone is wonderful.  Meditating in a group is also wonderful.  I
encourage you to meditate in a group.  If you don't know anyone who you think
would be interested ask your friends and acquaintances anyway.  You never
know who would love to meditate in a group setting but never thought you
would be interested.

Pick a night and meet once or twice a week or once or twice a month.  Once a
week is probably the best for a beginning group.  People tend to forget or
skip if they only meet once a month.

Meeting every day would be even better but few groups could get together that
often.

If you any your family decide to have a family meditation it is sometimes
possible to schedule it for once a day and not have too many missed or
skipped days.

Caution, don't try to force family members to meditate.  Meditation should be
of the free will of the persons involved.

Sunday Sermon 2

It's Sunday again.  Time for another Sunday sermon.

This time I really am going to preach.

Don't be a stumbling stone for others.  Don't criticize or find fault.

For example your way to meditate is not the RIGHT WAY. Your way is just the
right way for you.  I have seen people be discouraged because someone
belittled their methods.  Don't be the one to cause someone to give up
following the Light in this incarnation.  If you are the reason for someone
having to live an extra incarnation, it is my belief you will likely find
yourself doing the same.

Of course you can and should inform others of your way.  Then they are free
to try your method or not depending on how God leads them.  The exchange of
knowledge is beneficial.  But remember to listen to what the other person
says too.  They just might know something you don't, or have a better way
than you.

Simple Meditation:

Find a quite place where you won't be disturbed.

Set up in a straight back chair. You don't want to be too comfortable or you
might fall asleep.

Have something to stare at such as a candle, a crystal, a light or a flower.

Some kind of soft background music without lyrics will be helpful.

A kitchen timer is useful.  If you don't use a timer you may find yourself
wondering about the time.  This is normal.  Get yourself a timer.  Then you
can completely relax and forget about how much time has passed confident that
the timer will tell you when the time is up.

1) If you have a timer set it for fifteen minutes.  If you don't have a timer
set a watch or clock where you can see it without turning your head.

2) Ask for protection.  There are negative thought patterns forces floating
around out there and you don't want to have anything to do with them.  Pray
to God by whatever name you know him/her/it by and ask for protection from
all evil and negative forces.  My prayer goes like this "I ask to be
surrounded and protected by the Light of God to keep all negative and evil
forces and influences away from me and to protect me from them during this
meditation and always."

3) Focus on the object you choose to stare at ( a candle, a crystal, a light,
flower of whatever). Try to clear your mind of all thoughts. Just stare at
the object.

4) Close your eyes whenever you feel like it.

5) Whenever you want to open your eyes and stare at the object some more.

6) Keep trying to clear your mind of all thoughts.  You won't be able to at
first, but keep trying.

7) Ding! Time's up before you know it.

After a few days at fifteen minutes you will want to extend your meditation
time to twenty minutes and more.

That's it. Simple and easy.

Meditation

A wise person once said "Praying is talking to God, meditation is listening
to God.  If you don't meditate you should for your own peace of mind and
mental health.  If you already have a personal meditation program you may
want to skip this or just skim thru it.  I am trying to encourage those who
do not meditate on a regular basis, or do not know how, to start.

Rule number one, the only actual hard and fast rule about meditating: There
is no wrong way to meditate.  Find a way that works for you.  I am going to
outline a simple way to meditate that worked very well for me when I was a
beginner.  There are many, many other ways, just as there are many, many
paths to salvation. If you are a beginner, try my simple method and then move
on it you want to.

Time is limited today and I must go for now.  I will post my simple method
tomorrow unless the Universe has other plans for me (my version of "God
willing...).

Yeshua taught reincarnation.  Read John 3:3-7 and think about what it really
says.  What is reincarnation? It is nothing more and nothing less than being
born again. Yeshua was telling us that there is no way we can achieve
salvation in just one lifetime so we must be born again and again over and
over until we get it right. Most of his message was deliberately lost, but
some of his words remained recorded . Church leaders who wanted to be paid to
pray people into heaven could not let them realize they could only achieve
enlightenment by being literally born again.  So they changed the meaning of
the words "born again" to mean "converted" .   People are so brainwashed to
the changed meaning they can read the third chapter of John without ever
realizing the words "born again" have nothing to do with "accepting Jesus" or
"being saved." Read it yourself with an open mind and see what it says to you.

Are these past lives real?  Or are they just imagined?  Don't know.  Don't
care.  They are beneficial to a person's mental health and spiritual growth.
Does it matter if they are real?

I personally believe they are real.  I have had flashbacks and memories of
past lives all of my present life.  These memories are as real to me as any
other memory.  When I first tried the exercise I posted a few days ago on
myself I experienced vivid memories of a lifetime I had never had any idea of
before.

Skeptics say everyone remembers famous lives. I do not find that to be the
case at all.  All the people I know remember very mundane and boring lives.

Skeptics also say it is hard to verify the things remembered.  True.  Think
about it. Try to verify any one day in the life of your great grandmother.
Hard isn't it?  How about a day at random in the life of your
great-great-great uncle?  Chances are there are no verifiable records at all
unless you are descended from somebody extremely wealthy or famous.  Even
then a day at random would be very difficult to verify.  Now try to verify a
day in the life of an Egyptian slave, a peasant girl on a river in Asia or a
camel driver in the middle east. Those are past lives remembered in sessions
I have conducted.  If anyone remembered being Napoleon, they never mentioned
it.

Were they real? I think so.  You must decide for yourself.

I posted simple directions for experiencing past lives the other day. Of
course you may ask me any questions you wish, but if you want to pursue it
farther you might want to get a guide book.  A good one I usually recommend
for beginners is "How to Uncover Your Past Lives" by Ted Andrews. It is
published by Llewellyn Publications.  Their web site is

I find their books, including this one, all the time at Barns and Nobels.
There are of course a lot of other good books on past lives regression out
there.  This is just the best for beginners I have found.

No, I don't have anything to do with Llewellyn other than I have bought and
gave away a lot of their books.

It's Sunday.  Time for my Sunday sermon.

No god (or God) is going to come down from the sky and save you.
You can't pay a preacher, priest or guru to save you either.  Give all your
money to a church and starve to death and what will happen?  The preacher or
priest will eat steak and you will be dead, but you won't be saved one little
bit.
So, if no god or preacher is going to save you, who will?  The only one who
can.  Look in a mirror.  That person looking back at you is the only one who
can save you.  Salvation is a do it yourself project and you are the only one
who can do it.  Yeshua said "I am the way" and "follow me."  He didn't mean
he was going to save you. He meant he had found the way and for you to follow
him or do as he did.  He was showing the way by example.
I have good news for you.  You will achieve salvation.  You will be born
again.  In fact you will be born again and again and again until you get it
right. That is the good news Yeshua brought two thousand years ago and it is
the good news today.  Everyone, each and every person on earth, will achieve
perfection/salvation/enlightenment.  We will all keep coming back until we
get it right.

No, no collection plate will be passed with this sermon. God's word is free
to all!

Hi all,

I'm sorry I haven't been able to communicate much this past week.  I promised
to tell you how to do a past life regression on Saturday.  Well, it is
Saturday. It just isn't the Saturday I meant.

Simple past life regression exercise:

Find a quite place to set.  Don't get too comfortable or you may go to sleep.

You can take as long on each step as you like.  You may have someone read the
steps to you, you may record them on a tape and play them to yourself or you
may open your eyes and read the next step when you are ready.  Or of course
you may do it all from memory. Whatever works for you.  When I show people in
person I of course lead them thru it. It is best for beginners to think of
each thing for from two to five minutes.

1) Relax and meditate to clear your mind.  If you have never meditated before
just shut your eyes and relax and try to think nothing, or visualize a
wonderful beautiful place, a seashore for example.

2) Now, think of a meal you ate yesterday.

3) Where were you?

4) What were you eating?

5) Did you like the meal?

6) Remember the smell.

7) Remember the taste.

8) Were you alone or with somebody?

9) If you were with somebody, who were they? (If alone, what other than the
meal attracted your attention?)

10) What did they look like? (If alone think of the room you were in.)

11) Now, think of a meal you ate a year or more ago.

12) Where were you?

13) What were you eating?

14) Did you like the meal?

15) Remember the smell.

16) Remember the taste.

17) Were you alone or with somebody?

18) If you were with somebody, who were they? (If alone, what other than the
meal attracted your attention?)

19) What did they look like? (If alone think of the room you were in.)

20) Now, think of the first meal you can ever remember.

21) Where were you?

Ancient Greece, the American frontier, China in the 1600s, anything.

30) think of a meal.

31) Where were you eating your meal? Inside, in the kitchen, outside, etc.?

32) What were you eating?

33) Did you like the meal?

34) Remember the smell.

35) Remember the taste.



36) Were you alone or with somebody?

37) If you were with somebody, who were they? (If alone, what other than the
meal attracted your attention?)

38) What did they look like? (If alone think of your surroundings.)

39) Take as long as you like to explore the world you are remembering.

That's it.  About three fourths of the people I have led thru this exercise
have remembered something the first time they tried.  Most remembered
something the second or third time.  Next time you do it substitute
"birthday" or "feeling happy or sad" or "being with someone you love" or
something for "meal".

Life after Death

I don't wonder if we survive after this body dies.  I know what happens.  We
are reincarnated and we live again in another body.  How do I know?
Remember, I accept nothing on faith.  I know because I can clearly remember
large parts of at least seven past lives.  I remember smidges of many others.
  I once remembered being in a cave in a past life.  Then I happened to go in
that specific cave.  When I looked around and recognized it I almost fell
over.  All the proof I needed.  But don't take my word for it.  Explore your
own past lives yourself.  It's easy and almost anyone can do it with a little
practice.  I'll tell you how in a future post, probably tomorrow.

Their are much Greater and wonderful things in this world, than can ever be
seen by man, But a few can see the Beauty

If i may add this Thought-----
							  	 Man has but
an Eternity in the days of his life

I am a skeptic.  I accept nothing on or by faith. Everything must be proven
to me for me to accept it.  Don't despair.  I don't demand scientific proofs.
  I do believe things, many things I cannot prove with materialistic
scientific methods.  The difference between me, the skeptic, and non
believing scientific Skeptics is I accept subjective proof.  If I receive a
revelation during meditation and it rings true for me I accept it as being
true for me. And yes, I do sometimes receive messages during meditation which
I reject as being not true for me. Likewise if somebody tells me something
and it seems true for me, I accept it as being true for me.

I accept or reject the message, not the messenger.  Many self appointed
leaders proclaim that because part of what they say is true, you should
accept all the rest on faith.  Bunch of b.s.  Believe or reject any part of
any message as you will.  You will not go to Hell for it.

If you are like me, you look at the archives before deciding to subscribe to
a list.  Well, as of this writing we have no subscribers.  Thus I am sending
this to you via the archives.

Let me tell you a little of why I created this list.  I have been conducting
metaphysical lectures and seminars for the past several years.  I give
lectures whenever invited.  Now and then I rent a lecture hall and conduct
seminars.

My main theme is "Salvation (enlightenment) is a do it yourself project."  I
and others then conduct workshops to point out some of the possible paths a
person might take.

I have been a member of another list for about four years.  About two weeks
ago somebody recommended a list on OneList.  I checked it out.  I was not
interested, but I did discover OneList.

Slowly the idea of creating a Gnostic list formed in my mind.

So, here we are.  Please join and be a part of this list community.
