Christian Greetings to all members:
We live in a society where communicating with
others has become so easy, yet many times we don't
reach out to heal wounds. I say this due to a misunder-
standing in our own family recently that, if left un-
attended to would fester into a bigger problem and create
more disharmony. I Thank God for a cousin who finally said
"enough is enough" and ended the debating back and forth over
an issue of little, if any importance.
With all the strife in this world, dealing with one
natural disaster after another; public shootings; law officers
selling guns back to dealers on the streets (a message from Brother
Donald Casey) and the hatred in society, we have a bigger job to
pray than to spend that time arguing to try to prove who is right
or who is wrong. I pray that each of us could look into our lives
this day and recognize any areas we need to pray about for complete
healing through The Holy Spirit and allow the prayer room members
join you in that prayer. Let us also pray for the victims in India
where any resemblence of a "normal life" has been wiped out due to the
recent earthquakes. Pray for the survivors of Hurricane Bret and the
flooding going on there right now. The farmers who lost their years
crops to the floods and those who have lost their homes. We should pray
the upcoming hurricanes making up in the Atlantic Ocean would send light
rains where needed and tropical breezes to the rest who are already suffering.
Let us pray for Dolly and Donald In Idaho, Jim; Keith; Linda and Jessi in
Florida and Ron out there in California that our Heavenly Father would bless
each one this day and allow them to shine for HIM as they never have before that
HE might recieve all the honor; glory and praise. AMEN and AMEN!!!
Thank you,
Reverend Tom

Dear Lord Jesus:
I command this Hurricane to go out sea, and stay off of the Gulf Coast in
the
name of Jesus. I join with all of my brothers and sisters in this prayer in the
Name Of Jesus we command this hurricane to go to sea and blow out.
Hurricane I speak to this mountian and cast you out to sea, I command you
in
the name of Jesus to die at the root.
I invite everyone in the prayer room to join me in this prayer, this is
where
our authority as the body of Christ works to control these type of things here
on this
earth, as we do the will of God,
AMEN.

Lord God:
I join with Brother Donald in this prayer request that Hurricane Brett will
fizzle out and go away and I demand this in Your name. Your word teaches us we
must
seek Your name and ask our prayers in your name and it shall be done. We have
the faith
to believe this task will be done as we ask You Heavenly Father to spare the
Gulf Coast
and all who live there from this storm. Oh God! We Thank you for being so
merciful when
we don't deserve it and we Thank You for allowing us to council with You as your
direct
desciples in Your name. We ask these thing in Jesus precious name,
AMEN.

The Interview

I dreamt I had an interview with God
"come in," God said. "So you would like to interview me?"

"If you have the time," I said. God smiled and said:
"My time is eternity and is enough to do everything.
What questions do you have in mind to ask me?

"What surprises you most about mankind?"
God answered: "That they get bored with being children,
are in a rush to grow up, and then, long to be children
     again.
That they lose their health to make money and
lose their money to restore their health.

That by thinking anxiously about the future,
they forget about the present, such that they live
neither for the present nor the future.
That they live as if they will never die,
And die as if they have never lived..."

God's hands took mine and we were silent for a while.
And then I asked...."As a parent what are some of life's
lessons you would want your children to learn?"

     God replied with a smile:
"To learn that they cannot make anyone love them.
What they CAN do is to let themselves be loved.

To learn that what is most valuable is not what they have
in their lives, but WHO they have in their lives.

To learn that it is not good to compare themselves
to others. All will be judged individually on their own
merits, not as a group on a comparison basis!

To learn that a rich person is not the one who has the most,
but is the one who needs the least.

To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound
wounds in persons we love, and that it takes many years to
      heal them.

To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.
To learn that there are persons that love them dearly, but
simply do not know how to express or show their feelings.

To learn that money can buy everything but happiness.

To learn that two people can look at the same thing and
        see it totally different.

To learn that a true friend is someone who knows everything
      about them....and likes them anyway;
To learn that it is not always enough that they be forgiven
by others, but that they must forgive themselves."

I sat there for a while enjoying the moment.
I thanked Him for His time and for all that He has done
for me and my family, and He simply replied, " Anytime.
I am here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All you have to do
is ask for Me and I will answer."

......People will forget what you said,
People can forget what you did, but
          People will never forget how
         You made them feel.

When No Words Seem Appropriate

       I won't say, "I know how you feel" - because I don't.
I've lost parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends,
but I've never lost a child. So how can I say I know how
  you feel?
       I won't say, "You'll get over it" - because you won't.
Life will have to go on. The washing, cooking, cleaning,
the common routine. These chores will take your mind off
your loved one, but the hurt will still be there.
I won't say, "Your other children will be a comfort to
you" - because they may not be. Many mothers I've talked to
say that after they have lost a child, they easily lose
their temper with their remaining children. Some even feel
resentful that they're alive and healthy when the other
  child is not.
I won't say, "Never mind, you're young enough to have
another baby" - because that won't help. A new baby cannot
replace the one that you've lost. A new baby will fill your
hours, keep you busy, give you sleepless nights. But it
will not replace the one you've lost.
You may hear all these platitudes from your friends and
relatives. They think they are helping. They don't know
what else to say. You will find out who your true friends
are at this time Many will avoid you because they can't
face you. Others will talk about the weather, the holidays
and the school concert but never about how you're coping.
       So what will I say?
I will say, "I'm here. I care. Anytime. Anywhere." I
will talk about your loved one. We'll laugh about the good
memories. I won't mind how long you grieve. I won't tell
  you to pull yourself together.
No, I don't know how you feel - but with sharing,
perhaps I will learn a little of what you are going through.
And perhaps you'll feel comfortable with me and find your
  burden has eased. Try me.

This morning I received the following prayer request
from one of my Internet "sisters". You may recognize
the name as I have her web site (www.angelIDDD@...)
as one of our links. If you haven't had a chance to visit
her site and if you like angels and uplifting items, take
a look and share the site with others.

PRAYER REQUEST:

Hi everyone... I wanted to send a little something before
I went off to bed... I had a really rough night and I'm
asking for all of you to say a little prayer for my sweet
little girl, Brianna... She had an accident today and ended
up in the hospital... She is doing ok but has to get a mouth
splint... She was very brave and I am soo proud of her...
She is home now and sleeping like a baby, but was in a lot of
pain... If you can, please say a little prayer for my sweet
Angel...
With Angel Hugs,
Angel

Heavenly Father:
We humbly come to you this morning to ask a special
prayer for this sister of ours and for her daughter Brianna.
A mom is already a special thing in "my" heart dear lord, but
a concerned and loving mother even more heart touching. May
you heal Brianna from her precious head to her little feet
that she may stay a trusting child in the things her mother
does for her. May she feel little further pain than she has
already suffered. I know, God that miracles still happen and
just as You have allowed the paths of "Angel's" and mine to
cross in this life, you will hear our quite plea's for Brianna
and we Thank You. Please place Your protective hands about this
entire family that they will feel the security that can only come
from Your love and grace. We ask these things in the name of Your
son/our savior, Jesus Christ.
AMEN!

The "Be" Attitudes

Be understanding to your perceived enemies.
Be loyal to your friends.
Be strong enough to face the world each day.
Be weak enough to know you cannot do everything alone.
Be generous to those who need your help.
Be frugal with that you need yourself.
Be wise enough to know that you do not know everything.
Be foolish enough to believe in miracles.
Be willing to share your joys.
Be willing to share the sorrows of others.
Be a leader when you see a path others have missed.
Be a follower when you are shrouded by the mists of uncertainty.
Be first to congratulate an opponent who succeeds.
Be last to criticize a colleague who fails.
Be sure where your next step will fall, so that you will not tumble.
Be sure of your final destination, in case you are going the wrong way.
Be loving to those who love you.
Be loving to those who do not love you; they may change.
Above all, be yourself.

WELL! Ont the 18th. of August, the Global Prayer Room
will turn one month old and already it feels like we have
lifted up some very important prayers to our Heavenly Father.
As the list heading shows when you log in, we already have 8
members in the prayer room.

I recently put out a prayer request that we share the prayer room
location and how to join with our friends and fellow believers so
our prayer voice could be even more audible to God. I believe that
our "thoughts" are heard by Him, but that is a single voice going out.
Whenever the eight of us gather to share the same prayers, BOY1 What a
difference that makes.

We will be starting the "Second Chance Foundation- Ministry" web page
soon. I will be using that web page as the spring board for bigger and
better things as God asks us to do them. I hope to post and share a
picture of the FFA Chapel there for you all to see. I feel that once you
see the simplistic beauty of this chapel to be used for reaching FFA students
who visit, your vision strength for this chapel will be mulitplied. When I first
saw the sketch Mr. Jim Hansen produced, It truly touched my heart. I wish I had
a portion of this man's artisitc talents and I Thank God for guiding my
footsteps
the the doors of Genesis Studios.

It is Sunday and I must get out of here. I simply wanted to say good morning to
all
and share some of the love God has blessed us with.
Thank Each of You,
Reverend Tom

Christian Greetings:
Reverend Tom here with a few prayer requests
as we put the week of August 8-14 to bed. It has been
exceptionally hot here on the east coast and our
farmers heve been feeling the affects on their crops.
It seems as so much has happened this past week. We
should all take stock in some of the events we read about
or saw on the news. The tornado that touched down in Salt
Lake City, Utah was ferocious and the floods in Korea took
their tolls, but my heart went out this week to the children
of the day care center in Los Angeles. As one five year old
put it, that evil "monster" hurt them. And then the shooter
grins for the camera crews and gloated about his work. That
report made me evaluate my own personal views about others. I
had to ask myself if I hate any one? I admitted to myself that
I have a hard time accepting others who practice gay and lesbian
lifestyles, but I don't hate them. I don't understand their choice
to live the way they do when almost everyone of them know it is wrong,
but I could not bring myself to kill one of them. We truly do live in
a sick and perverted world and our prayers must be lifted up and counted.
It is not a common ocurrance, but from time to time I receive messages
that slip through my server checking methods that are of a sexual nature. I
usually hit "delete" and just like magic, they disappear off into cyber trash
somewhere. Last Monday evening I sat down after my work day and there was one
of these invitations to join this group for the "delights of my life." As I
high-
lighted the delete sign on my monitor, I stopped and rethought my decision. The
compelling feeling to lift up a prayer for these "senders" was overwhelming. I
clicked onto the "reply to senders and all recepients" button and sent them a
prayer instead. Now the words I typed to them may be traveling around out there
in
cyber trash somewhere, BUT! What happens if just one of them received the
message and
was looking for the right avenue to escape the prison of sin and perversion?
God's word
teaches in ISAIAH 55:11 "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It
shall not
return to Me void,But it shall accomplish what I please. And it shall prosper in
the thing
for which I sent it." (KJV).

Prayer Requests:
1. Ronnie in prison in Texas will be up for parole in a few months. I pray he
will have the
desires to follow The Lord after his release. I have been working with him and
writing him
for the past 14 1/2 years and "feel" he may have changed, but I can not know for
sure as he
has been one of the best con men you might ever meet. I do know however, that
GOD KNOWS and I
am simply asking that God be in charge of Ronnie's heart and mind and soul and
body that Ronnie
would be sold out for HIM. I had counseled him to be paroled out of Texas
somewhere where he can
start his new life without all the pressures of the old neighborhood and his old
friends. He is
considering asking to be paroled in Colorado near his cousin. I pray this will
work out for Ronnie
this time. This was his third lock down and if he fails again, it may mean life!

2. I received the art work back on the chapel we have been trying to get funds
togehter to build for
the Future Farmers of America (FFA) and we have an upcoming meeting next week. I
intend to get with
Brother Donald Casey prior to that date and do some power praying about the will
of God being carried
out here. I ask that you too lift the FFA Chapel and its' funding up in your
prayers. I pray also for
the fulfillment of the vision I received earlier this year for building this
chapel. I pray the 2,000
people I am to approach for the $100 donation are Heaven sent for I will follow
God through this task
for HIM to receive all the Honor; Glory and Praise.

3. I pray each of us can share the Global Prayer Room with at least two more
people in our daily walk
that they might become members and this room can grow. Last week one of our
prayers was answered. Christina
received a job as we had been praying for. Thank You- Jesus! Please pray for the
things mentioned at the head
of this letter that we might grow from what has happened and that we could share
the kind of love Jesus shared
while He walked on this earth.

We have a weekly survey in the prayer room and I will be the first to
admit, I don't have a lot of questions
I know of to post there. If any of you have any topics of interest you might
want voted on, share them and we'll
get a survey on it for you. May each of you walk a little closer with your
creator and have the knowledge that HE
is in charge.
Love to All,
Reverend Tom

Christian Greetings to All:
I have been very busy these past few days, but have
have managed to stay in touch with most of you. I was a bit
surpirsed with the latest survey about "MIRACLES". I received
a letter from one of our prayer room members who used to believe
in miracles, but lost his sister to cancer and can not understand
how God could allow something like this to happen? My heart goes
out to anyone who has lost a loved one, and especially someone who
it was too soon or unjustified. I had asked Brother Donald
(harvest1me@...) to touch base with this young man. I had shared
with him myself, how we felt the loss of four members of a six member
family a couple of years ago. I too ponder why these tragedies happen.
If any of you in the prayer room can help shine some light on this topic
please do so. As Brother Donald pointed out once, we serve a loving God
and it is not His works, but maybe we could explore this further for the
benefit of the other members.
Through the love of Christ to you,
Reverend Tom

May the Glory Of God fall all
over the earth and his will be
done here on this earth as in
heaven.Amen

And it will be as we pray for
the Lost. And put our prayers
into action.

No matter where we go each day
try to ask some one if they
haver asked Jesus in to there
heart, if they look you in the
eyes and say no and I don't
need it. Just walk away you
just planted a seed.

But if they say no and look
away know you not that the
Spirit of God is there. Put
out your hands and sya lets do
that right now. After you take
there hands just say softley I
know you don't know how to
pray, but that's okay, I will
pray for you if you will just
repeat after me and then lead
them through the sinners
prayer.
And You know what in five days
you can have five souls on
there way to heaven.
Solomon said a wise man seeks
souls. Do we want to be wise,
men and woman of God?
In one month you can have 20
souls going to heaven and in
one year 240 people going to
heaven. That's bigger then
some churches I know of,
Revival starts with each of us
Amen. We have been called of
God to bring a Lost world to
Christ. I know you might not
feel like doing it right now
and that's okay, but when you
start praying for the lost the
Holy Spirit will give you the
heart to tell every one about
Jesus. And it's so easy. Just
ask them if they haver ever
asked Jesus in there heart. We
were not call to argue with
any one Just to askt them if
they have Jesus.
Pray and then let's bring in
the lost in the name Of
Jesus,yes.

I know I can't spell but
that's okay, we all know what
Iam saying, right. I Love
everyone of you and only want
God to bless your Lives, and
when we seek the Kingdom Of
God bringing in the Lost God
will bless us in a mighty way.
It's then that we are doing
the will of the Father.

May God's love and Peace Be
with all of you always

Good Morning:
For those of you who do not receive "CHICKEN SOUP
for THE SOUL", this story came through this morning and
I wanted to share it with you. I do pray this morning
finds each and every one of you in the best of spirits as
we go out and make it a "JESUS FILLED DAY" where everyone
can see the light within us that makes them hunger for our
source of deligth and joy.......... JESUS CHRIST!
Thanks,
Reverend Tom

"Please Dress Me in Red"

In my profession, I have worked with children who have
the virus that causes AIDS. The relationships that I have
had with these special kids have been gifts in my life. Let
me tell you about the courage of Tyler.
Tyler was born infected with HIV; his mother was also
infected. >From the very beginning of his life, he was
dependent on medications to enable him to survive. At times,
he also needed supplemental oxygen to support his breathing.
Tyler wasn't willing to give up one single moment of
his childhood to this deadly disease. It was not unusual to
find him playing and racing around his backyard, wearing his
medicine-laden backpack and dragging his tank of oxygen
behind him in his little wagon. Tyler's pure joy in being
alive gave him energy that caused all of us who knew him to
marvel. Tyler's mom often teased him by telling him that he
moved so fast, she needed to dress him in red. That way,
when she peered out the window to check on him playing in
the yard, she could quickly spot him.
This dreaded disease eventually wore down even the
likes of a little dynamo like Tyler. He became quite ill
and, unfortunately, so did his mother. When it became
apparent that he wasn't going to survive, Tyler's mom talked
to him and she comforted him by telling Tyler that she was
dying, too, and that she would be with him soon in heaven.
A few days before his death, Tyler beckoned me over to
his hospital bed and whispered, "I might die soon. I'm not
scared. When I die, please dress me in red. Mom promised
she's coming to heaven, too. I'll be playing when she gets
there, and I want to make sure she can find me."

On Saturday, 8-7-99, I sent out the message about
Proctor and Gamble and Satanism. I sent out the message
in fear it "might" be true. This morning I received a
message from Brother Ron Marshall sharing with me it was
a hoax. I have apologized to Brother Ron and explained my
purpose for sending the message as a "concerned" Christian.
I also sent Brother Ron's response message to the people who
had sent the "original" message.
I must profess that when anything like this comes into my
own life I will probably continue to share it on the chance it
is not a hoax and as Christian minded brothers and sisters we
must pray about such things. REMEMBER! The last person that was
perfect was nailed to a cross. Please read the following response
message.
Thank You,
Reverend Tom

Here it is: Tom I have experienced this hoax from other friends and you will
find it to be truly a HOAX! Here is the response for P&G:

Someone on your mailing list let us know here at P&G that you received a rumor
claiming the President of Procter & Gamble appeared on a talk show to discuss
the Company's connection to Satanism. We're sorry to send you an unsolicited
message, but we want to make sure you have the facts.

The President of P&G has never appeared on any talk show to discuss Satanism.
This story is a variation of a lie that was spread in 1981-82, 1984-85, 1990
and
again recently.

Honestly, we thought we had the spread of these rumors under control after the
media gave attention to the problem years ago. Unfortunately, the stories
have
been resurfacing and taking on a new life. We think the best way to deal with
this is to ask for your help in getting the truth to people who may,
unknowingly, be spreading the rumor.

Thanks, in advance, for any help you can give in getting the facts out to
members of your mailing lists. If you or your on-line friends would like more

For those of you who might not know "MIRACLES
DO HAPPEN"!!! Brother Donald Casey believes this as
he is convalescing at home. Brother Ron Marshall KNOWS
they happen and shared a story with us about one. Sister
Linda has experienced one last week in her new church and
I am living proof miracles do happen.
In 1966 I was stationed with the 173rd. Airnorne group
in Vietnam. I was "point man", a job that took very little
skill, but a keen sense of hearing and good eyesight was very
helpful. It was my job to walk a few clicks ahead of the main
patrol of soldiers and look for booby traps. A job I received
after numerous failures at pleasing my platoon seargant. I think
he felt it would be no great loss if I were to be killed while
doing my duties. To him I was an embarassment. To me, I was a
scared eighteen year old soldier. To God I was a child worthy
of saving to do HIS works. I couldn't know that at the time, but
in retrospect I can see how He loved me and spared my life more
than I deserved.
I have shared thsi story a few times, but if you can, try to
imagine a spot from your own life that would be the most remote spot
you have ever seen. A place where no one has ever been before. This was
the spot we were at the day we were ordered to clear a spot in the jungle
for the captian's helicopter to land. We made the clearing and waited for
his approach. A sniper was waiting as well. Every time the chopper would
attempt a landing, the sniper would fire. At the sound of the first shot,
the order was given to "get down". There in that remote clearing in the jungle
I dropped to my knees behind a tree. An old brown bottle had been broken and
was sitting there on the ground, sharp edge up. As I lowered myself to the
ground,
the glass entered behind my knee cap. Blood went everywhere as I looked in
amazement.
The medics stopped the bleeding and bandaged the wound. We returned to our base
camp
that evening. By next morning the swelling was so bad I couldn't walk on the
leg. I was
ordered to stay in camp this day and help the cooks while the rest of my friends
went out
on a search and destroy mission. I waved bye to them as they marched out of
camp. Not
knowing this would be the last time I would ever see any of them alive again.
That evening
we received the news they were caught in an ambush and I began to feel guilty,
but I felt
even more blessed that I had been spared.
I completed my duty in Vietnam, was transfered home and discharged on
EASTER SUNDAY of
1967. Not until I becam a Christian and began looking into my past had I felt a
"miracle"
occured that day. Many call it fate, others refer to it as luck, but I choose to
believe GOD
had His protective hand over me throughout that war and brought that scared
eighteen year old
home to serve Him. There were other miracles there, but for me to come home on
the Ressurection
Day of our Savior, Jesus Christ is one of my favorite miracles.
Thanks for allowing me to share,
Reverend Tom

It is Saturday evening here in Florida and I
just received a phone call from my neice Christina.
We have been lifting her up in prayer that God would
lead her to a job. She said she went back for a second
interview with this one place. Thank YOU JESUS!
The job would consist of working with abused and
special children, teaching them how to ride horses and
to work on their self esteem. I feel in my heart she
will be good with this as she has come from a similar
home style. Not that she was "sexually" abused, but
sometimes the abuse of not being loved by either of your
parents can be twice as bad. She has never truly felt loved
or wanted and I guess that is why Jean and I have taken her
and her brother, Charles under our wing to look out for.
The lady is supposed to call Christina back tonight
with her decision. I pray with all my heart that God will
place this in the lady's heart and give Christina her chance
to be the applicant of choice. Thank each of you for your
prayer support for this young lady.
God bless you,
Reverend Tom

I have the lab results in from my operation.

The Doctors have said that I have cancer.

Now the word of God says I am healed.

So I would like for every one to pray and thank God for my healing. I refuse to
beleive the doctors. I am a child Of the King, the Lord Jesus.
And I am healed, In the Name Of Jesus.
Your Brother in Christ.

I am working with a single mom who is trying to
care for her ill dad. Because of his illnesses and
age, she has not been able to keep a decent job. I
have even spoken to her dad to share this young lady's
concerns about having lost many jobs, because her bosses
could not accept her strange hours while she is attending
to her dad's needs.
Last evening she called me in a panic and is in need
of funds and even asked if Jean and I could approach our
church communityto seek some sort of relief funds for her.
Unfortunately, Jean and I take our ministry and the Gospel
to various places and don't have a "home" church to ask this
kind of question of. I can pray for "Edith Lynne" and her
situation, but she is in need of $852.00 by next week or she
will be without power, telephone (to stay in touch with her dad
and the hospitals) and her car.
I ask that we all lift Edith Lynne up in our prayers that God
would hear her plea's for help. Jean and I will be looking into our
personal budget this weekend to see if we can personally assist her.
She lives in Houston, Texas and we can not just travel over for a visit,
but with this Global Prayer Room. I know we can all agree in prayers for
her.
Thank you,
Reverend Tom

Brother Donald Casey sent in his messages that
he was back home from his cancer surgery. He sounded
confident the doctors got out most of what they were
looking for and he is having faith that GOD will do
the rest. I too am in constant prayer for Brother
Donald, but something he mentioned in one of his e-mails
to my box caught my eye.
He had mentioned that where he is and is msot of the
alone, he wondered if it would be best to "Give up
and go home (to be with The Lord) or Go on?". It made me
wonder how many more there are in our world who have reached
this same point in their own life? I, for example, feel God
has given me a great life, I have been blessed, I have relatively
good health, and I can actually say I have many great friends (many
right here in this prayer room). I am not afraid to be called home.
Mel Tillis (Country/Western intertainer/singer) once said he didn't
mind dieing, he just didn't want to be there when it happened.
With our busy schedules and families to raise, sometimes we can
get carried away and forget about "other" people. People who are in no
earthly way related to us, but through the grace of God are our brothers
and sisters through Jesus Christ. Even those who don't act like children
of God need to be checked on and lifted up in prayers. So, When Donald
pondered his question, I found myself voting for the "STICK AROUND AND GO
ON" option. He said in his message that one thing that made his choice easy
was all our e-mails and prayers supporting him. WELL DONALD! Now you know, WE
LOVE YOU AND PRAY YOU HANG IN AND PUSH ON!!!!!

Hello,

There is a new survey for the GlobalPrayerRoom community.

Into today's society there is a constant struggle by single people to find
compatible mates. The single's scene is described as a nightmare and Christian
singles feel they have no place to turn to locate that special person God has
waiting for them. If there were a Christian based "INTRANET" (not internet)
site where you could meet only Christian singles of all age groups, would you
pay to be a part of this group?

Possible answers are:

o Yes
o No
o Depends on the cost
o How do I join?

Greetings in His Name:
It is seldom that I try to show the weaker side
of my life, but weddings just do that for me. On
ocassion I attend a movie with my family and it is
one that touches my heart. Yesterday we say "The Run
Away Bride" (Julia Robert's new film). No foul language,
no sex, no violence. O.K.! So now you're asking yourself,
"What do I want to see it for then?" It is good clean
entertainment and I reccomend it to anyone needing a laugh
and a lift in their life. It brought tears to my heart and
to my eyes and that hadn't happened since 1988 when my mom
passed away. I am involved with trying to get a Christian based
dating service started in the Orlando area and need your prayers.
The message below is one I sent to the Executive Vice President
of that organization yesterday.

SOMETIMES THESE MESSAGES BECOME SLIGHTLY GARBLED WHEN TRANSFERED FROM
ONE AREA TO ANOTHER. I HOPE IT COMES OUT ALRIGHT.

                "Marriage and Weddings"

I think there is something to be said for the institute of marriage. It is
the brunt of
many cruel jokes and taken too lightly by many in it. In our "throw away"
society,
where it is easier to walk out than to reach down deep and give another ten
percent
on top of the sixty you are already giving. I used to think that good marriages
only
happened to television families. "Make Room For Daddy", "Father Knows Best";
"The
Donna Reid Show"; "Leave it to Beaver" and "I love Lucy". The love and harmony
seen
there could only come from Hollywood, I thought.
Back when I was a child my parents love seemed to go out the window when money
became scarce. Yelling and screaming became second nature in our home. Around
Thursday afternoon the mood change would begin and by Friday evening (after
dad's
paycheck was cashed and hadn't gone as far as they thought it should have)
they'd
begin a simple conversation that eventually became the weekly ritual. As a child
and
only in that child like world, "I will never be like this when I get married."
1969 rolled
around and except for the difference in locations and the names of the
characters
being different, I was in the same old movie, reliving my past.
I feel with every fiber of my soul that marriages should be more than money
problems,
frustrations about keeping up with the neighbors; jealousy; and petty in
differences. I
have four sisters and as I grew up I learned many things that made my views of
women
different. Not just the obvious things women don't like, such as leaving the lid
up on
the commode, male grunting noises when with their other male friends, being
slapped
on the back side or rough housing. I also learned through their marriages that
the son
in law was not allowed to get along with his parents in law. How absurd could
that be?,
But in my family such was the case. You never heard words of encouragement from
the "father figure" in the house. Hugging was almost unheard of and open showing
of
affection was seldom, if ever, experienced. Especially not between my mom and
dad. All
in all I walked into my marriage with an entire bag of mixed feelings and was
totally
misinformed about a lot of things. Thank God I married into a family tolerant
enough to
love me and work me through many of these things. With age comes a certain
amount
of wisdom. With marriage comes a lot of ups and downs, but I still wouldn't
trade it to
be single ever again. Marriage however, is only the by product of the wedding
and what
happens after you say "I DO". You can not take two people from two totally
different
backgrounds and expect them to interrelate with each other with out some
friction or
bumps along the way. That is much of the mystery of finding out whom the person
is
you have chosen to spend the rest of your life with.
At the risk of sounding less than macho and giving the reader the idea I am
weak, I
must admit, I am a sucker for weddings. For me the wedding encompasses all the
love
and attraction that brought the couple together. I can still walk down the
hallway of
our home and see the high school picture of my wife when she was still a child
and
think of how fortunate I was that my Heavenly Father lead me to her. Tears come
to
my heart when I look at that picture and see the beauty I fell in love with the
day I first
met her. To this day whenever I see a couple getting married my heart bursts
with joy
for them. As a minister, who performs the occasional wedding, I advise the
couple
standing before me to remember that specific moment and all those that lead up
to
that moment in their life. It is those moments that will carry them through the
arguments, the financial struggles, the heated conversations over jealousy and
many
more issues that will inevitably arise over the course of their married life.
We just came from the movie theater where we saw the newly released film, "The
Run
Away Bride" starring Julia Roberts; Richard Greer; Joan Cusak; Rita Wilson;
Hector
Elanzo and more. When the camera showed her in her wedding gown, I cried! Not
because I am less of a man for doing so or that I was weak, but because it was
the
confirmation to an ongoing prayer I have had for many years now. I have always
wanted to make a difference in the lives of other people. I have always loved
weddings
and the happiness associated with them. The bliss shared by the bride and groom
and
the chance to send them on their way with a few words of Christian wisdom
learned
along the path of my own personal road. I realize I can not live their lives for
them or
make the road they are about to travel any less rough, but if by chance I can
uncover
one or two pot holes for them, I will have done my part. I have been working on
the
plans for a chapel, but the people I am working with have to hold meetings for
every
thing before it happens. Many times what starts out as a full fledged fire for
an idea
becomes doused by the waters of time and much of the interest dies away. I
continue
to prepare for the chapel as though they have already said yes, but must keep
telling myself to keep
this in God's time frame............. not mine.
I have been offered an opportunity to start a Christian based dating service in
the Central Florida area
and hope to tie this in with the chapel. As I sat in the movie today, I had
doubts as what direction to
travel with this opportunity. Seeing the scene where she was in her wedding
dress and the affect it
had on me when my heart was touched, could have only come for God. I will pursue
this endeavor more
diligently now than before I received the spirit filled moment today. There is a
need for this type
service in our community today and I pray I can be one to fill the need. We have
young people
searching for acceptance in all sorts of places and few being fulfilled. We have
married couples walking
out on families in record numbers and fewer believing in the institution of
marriage itself.
When a man can look at his spouse and openly repeat the words he told her to
win her heart, to me
he is truly a man of the new millennium. When his love and devotion to his bride
is only surpassed by
his commitment to serve his Heavenly Father, we will have accomplished a great
thing in our
community. Equally Yoked is the vehicle I want to help bring about these changes
and if the occasional
wedding ceremony results from our collective efforts, then I pray I can be there
to celebrate the
event.

     * Prayer request #1: Brother Donald Casey will
be entering the hospital for surgery on his throat. I
wish for us to pray for guidance by the doctors to find
a nd cut out the cancer and that god will heal that body
from head to toe soe Brother Donald can get back to being
a witness for The Lord.

      * Prayer request #2: I pray for Brother and Sister
Richmann and their marriage. As you may see by the message
above, I hold the mariage of two people in very high esteem.
I also feel that a marriage is not of two, but of "three".
When that third party is God and He is the focal point of all
in that marriage, it will survive. I pray these two people can
rekindle the spark which obviously at one time was a flame and
that God will lead him to work closer to home where they can
make their marriage work. If this is NOT God's will in their
lives, I pray that God will give Sister Linda the strength and
wisdom to move forward on her own with the new knowledge she has
gained about The Holy Spirit and be bold in all she attempts. Their
marriage is foremost in my prayers for them. I ask that we each
share some time on their needs.

      * Prayer Requset #3: Brother Ron Marshall is an evangelist who
dedicating his field to ministering to other pastors and evangelists.
Recently he came under fire from another "mail group" about some state-
ments he had made. After reading the statement he had made, I agreed
with what he had said however, this did not minimize the pain and
suffering Brother Ron went through with this group. After he began
praying about this situation, The Holy Spirit showed him the passage
from Matt: 10:14 "AND WHOEVER WILL NOT RECEIVE YOU NOR HEAR YOUR WORDS,
WHEN YOU DEPART FROM THAT HOUSE OR CITY, SHAKE THE DUST FROM YOUR FEET."
How many of us have tried to evangelize to those around us and found
ourselves talking to a brick wall and can relate to what Brother Ron was
going through? I have! and the blessing to "KNOW" when to walk away is such
a relief when it comes from God. HE knows when to show us it is not worth the
time; aggrivation; pain and anguish to contiune beating a dead issue. Thank You
Jesus! Please let us pray this battle has not zapped the strength; drive and
ambition to reach out to others from Brother Ron. Please pray God will renew not
only his physical strength to contiue, but his spiritual strength.

      * Prayer request #4: Brother Jim Sponsler has been trying to locate
equip-
ment for the Full Gospel Businessman's meetings. I found a couple of speakers I
had
in my storage and pray they were of some use, but they are still in need of
other
items and I pray God will lead him to the people God wants him to go to for
these
things and that Brother Jim is bold enough to witness to these people as he
meets
them. God has already supplied the things they need, they just have to continue
believing God will lead them to the items. Thank You Jesus.

      * Prayer Request #5: I need prayer support for my young neice, Christina
who
is a single mom and never married. She now finds herself without her boyfriend
and his
support and she must find the ambition to get out and get a job to support
herself.
She is living with her grandparents and they are only able to supply her with a
roof
over her head and food in her stomach. She wants to get a job with a vetrinarian
(sp?),
but there aren't any hiring right now. I am trying to keep my faith up that she
will
eventually realize the vet's job isn't going to happen and will become
responsible enough
to take on any job to protect the credit we have helped her obtain. I don't want
to fight
all her battles for her as I don't feel this builds a strong person. I do
however, wish
she would recognize the danger signs in messing up her life even further than
being an unwed
mother. Please help me pray for her and her future. I pray God will touch her
heart in a way
that only HE can that she would KNOW her blessing come from HIM.

      * Prayer Request #6: I need prayers personally for whatever God has
planned for me in
my near future. At 51, I realize with my health being as it is, I can not
continue on the path
I am right now. I am waiting for word on the FFA Chapel and whatever that might
bring. As
mentioned above, I am considering an offer to help start a Chirstian Based
dating service in the
Orlando area, plus I am considering a position with Campus Crusade For Christ in
their maintenance
area. I pray God will give me the patience to remain where I am and that my
strength will hold out
in this terrible heat we are having here in Orland. I know HIS love; grace and
blessings are always
more than sufficient for my life and I thank Him.

Thank each of you for your prayers for these requests. I am still hoping
one of you will try
to enter a prayer request from your end so I can see if I have you signed up
correctly. Whenever a
pesron wants to become a member of The Global Prayer Room, I set them up so they
can type in their needs
as well. May God continue to bless each one of the seven members we already have
in the room and may
His love alway be noticed by you as sufficient.
Love to all,
Reverend Tom

I received the following message from a brother from The Full Gospel
Businessmen's
prayer breakfasts we hold weekly in Orlando. It speaks volumes of what we can do
"TO" someone
or "FOR" someone, simply by the words we choose to use. I hope you enjoy it. I
have also
included a "follow up" message about this subject from Brother Donald Casey
(Harvest1 Ministry)
and wanted to share that with you.
By the way! I have included the option in the GlobalPrayerRoom for each
member to be able to
post their own prayer requests; stories; testimonies and information, right from
your own computer.
Please try it and let me know if it works as I won't know it needs fixing if you
don't tell me.

As Brother Donald will tell each one of you, he is not a scholar
and at times (in his haste to type what he wants to say) his spelling
gets a little off, but as you come to know who he is, the message still
comes through.

** FOLLOW UP MESSAGE FROM BROTHER DONALD CASEY

I liked the message about the frogs.
And it sparked the teacher in me.
I was about to send Linda out a message when I received yours Tom.

I read it and thought of Linda and you and thought how I would
incorporate this message to both of you at the same time, because we
know how lazy I am.

In the past Two weeks as I have been seeking the Lord in a deeper way he
has been giving me some revelation knowledge in his word.

I am about to start a series of messages on this and it coincides with
what you were saying in your message about the frogs.

That is along the lines of words of encouragement and words of
discouragement, and how they work in our lives and in in the Spirit.

I had a brother saying to a group of people one day that God would allow
sickness and even death so that in some cases it would be a Glory to
Him.

Later as this brother and I were alone I asked him where he had gotten
this type of information from. I said I know that God dose not operate
that way. To cause people to be sick, or even die to Glorify Him self. I
said that's a rather mean god that would do something like that.

But this brother said oh yes he will.
Then opined his Bible up to, John 11:4
and read to me this scripture.

Verse 4; reads this way.
When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for
the glory of God, that the Son Of God might be glorified thereby.

Now Jesus was talking about the death of Lazarus the brother of Martha.

At this point in my life the young brother had me, in as far as what the
scripture said. But I still knew in my little spirit that this did not
bare witness with me, and at that time had no explanation to give him
but to say, interesting.

Now this dose go along with Words We Say, and how they effect us in our
everyday walk with God.

It took me years to get just what went on here. And why Jesus would say
such a thing.

Now it was not until this last fast and prayer time that the Holy Spirit
revealed to me what happened, and why Jesus said what he did. But what
he showed me goes along with every thing that He, the Holy Spirit was
teaching me this week as I have been in my Bible for hours praying about
some different things.

Because it's a little after 10 pm here, and I have an appointment with
my Father. What I am going to do is send this message to you and Let
you read this portion of scripture, and then tomorrow I will send you
another message and show you what I was taught about this, but mean
while you can be thinking about this okay.

It dose go along with what your saying Tom. And it effects us in the
Spirit.

May God's peace be with you both.
My Love in Chris is always with you.
Donald.

Thank You From:
                                                            Evangelist

My wife, Jean and I have some friends who we've only known for a few
months. The husband is away from home 95% of his time, working in another state.
His wife, Linda lives about 35 miles from us in a town north of Orlando. She
came to live in Florida after becoming married to Paul and prior to that lived
in Utah.
Most of Linda's family is still out west and the only family she seems truly
close to in Florida is her extended church family. Since becoming accquainted
with Paul
and Linda, we have stayed in touch with Linda via the marvel of e-mail. We try
to keep her spirits up and share family stories and antidotes with her, but a
lonely
heart is still as broken and wounded when the person suffering doesn't know why
or how this could happen to them. In our communicating it has been very
noticable that
"Sister Linda" has been growing in her faith walk with God. I have seen the
change in her over the weeks as Brother Donald Casey (harvest1me@...) has
been teaching
her about "Praying in The Spirit" and "Speaking in Tongues". There is a fire in
her to be more than the day before and to understand whatever it is God has
planned for her.
I dislike confrontation; confusion; disruption in the normal flow of my own
life and in general, like my life to flow smoothly. I believe we are all made up
this way and
Sister Linda would be no exception. She is struggling to know what is to happen
in her life and truly needs our prayers and support. I ask a special favor of
each of you to
visit her personally at Richmann@... and help Jean and I to check in on her
daily to help mend a wounded heart. I believe that when you meet her via your
e-mail, you too
will see a vessel waiting to be filled to do His work and to glorify Him in her
life. I ask that you pray about their situation and that The Holy Spirit would
deal with Paul's
heart and show him what his wifes' wounded heart looks like and that he and God
are the ones who can heal it. Please share in loving this precious sister. Not
out of pity, for
I think many times she is stronger than you or I, but out of compassion as her
situation could easily be our own.

PSALM 111:4 Tells us, "Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness
He is gracious and full of compassion and righteous.

Thank you,
In the Holy name of Jesus
Reverend Tom

How many times have we been caught up in the
race to keep up with the Jones's? They have a new car,
we get a new car. They add on to their home and we
feel we need to add on to our home. It seems like
having it all is never enough.

Many years ago, Jean and I realized there "IS"
a point where we come to in our lives where we are
truly blessed and content with what we do have. To
some this feeling is about as close to Heaven on earth
as they will ever come. That happy medium where the
"I want" in our life is not as important as the "I
am happy" point. Phillipians 4:11 tells us, "NOT THAT I
SPEAK IN REGARD TO NEED, FOR I HAVE LEARNED IN WHATEVER
STATE I AM, TO BE CONTENT." This point of juncture in
our life ties in with "faith" and "peace". To have the
faith that God will care for all our needs (when we ask
Him to in our prayers) and the peace to KNOW that once
we ask Him, it is done and His will will be done.

Hebrews 13:5-6 teaches, "let your conduct be without
covetousness; be content with such things as you have.
For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you or forsake
you." 6: So we may boldly say: The Lord is my helper; I
will not fear. What can man do to me?

SO! Be content when you walk with Him by your side. Know
with all your heart that God is closer to you and your needs
than even your best friend or you yourself. He knows your every
need even before you do and when we ask Him for your needs, He
will be true to His word to be there and supply your needs.

REMEMBER to invite your friends; brothers and sisters in the
Lord to join our GLOBAL PRAYER ROOM at www.onelist.com. Your help
will be how this prayer room will grow to be larger than any of the
smut site on the Internet. ALSO! If you have any suggestions or words
of encouragement for others looking into our site, please post your
thoughts for all of us to read and enjoy.
Through His love,
Reverend Tom

There can be no doubt that we are living in a time when it is easier to cast
exoersions upon those who can no longer fend for themsleves. I say this with
reference to the malicious statements being made about the stupidity of John
Fitzgerald Kennedy, Jr. and the passengers of his plane. It is as though those
persons making the dark remarks about this young man, forget it is only by the
grace of God that they would not be in his position. Where can there be peace
for a person even when the world attacks them from their watery grave? I pray I
can bring some light onto the scene for a young man who was first a child of
God, second a brother of mine in the name of Jesus and a remarkable individual
who rose above the glitz and glamour of politics and the clamour of being a
"Kennedy". May my Heavenly Father bless these three young people even more in
the eyes of these viscious attacks on their character. I was never fortunate
enough to have a "blood" brother, but would gladly step up and claim this young
man as my friend. The question is being asked "If this were you or I, Mr. or
Mrs. John Q. Public who had crashed, would we be receiving this amount of
attention?". Even if not, I Thank God they have found the bodies and are now
retrieving them from the ocean floor although their spirits were joined with God
the instant they died. I can only say that God must have needed these three
young people more than we did. I pray for all those who see this situation with
less than compassionate hearts. May their death be swift and may they be spared
the same distasteful treatment they are dishing out in this case. may the grace
of God be with them. God bless all who grieve for these three young people. It
is truly a sad time for me and I trust for many of you.
Please remember to share this web site with all of your friends and be sure to
enter your own prayer requests.
In His love,
Reverend Tom
