Description
This is the home of the Glitter Town Dollys. We are makers of cloth and mixed media dolls, fantasy to realistic, we love and make them all. There are at least 5 to 6 swaps/challenges every year. This is your chance to join us and have some great fun!! We chat about our doll making experiences, sharing tips and learning new techniques as we go along. (NO POLITICAL POSTINGS ARE ALLOWED) We are a diversified bunch from all walks of life and from all over the world. If you are a participating member of the group, & you are teaching a class, have a new pattern for sale, or maybe you are clearing out some items from your doll making stash, you can post a note to the group on Tuesdays about it. Posting ads on any other day is considered an infraction of the group rules. We do have a favorite place to advertise our dolls and doll related items we might have to sell, Doll Ad Central..http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dolladcentral/
Do not use NO MAIL option, Use Special Notices instead, it will restrict the individual e-mails from this group to a bare minimum. Do not post snail mail addresses or phone numbers to the list, this should be done via private e-mail. Thank you so much, Susanne Faulkenbury, list MOM/owner
It's all Serendipity & Magic
We now feature one of the winners from our 2009 Doll Making Challenge. The theme was Working Woodland & Forest Fairies. All Fairies had to have fairy type jobs.
MEMBERS' FAVORITE: PUNCTURE & SNATCH, members in good standing of the Bubble Breakers Local 44231
They only exist to ruin your day;
With only negative put-downs to say.
They'll steal your bubble and cart it away.
Then break it, and tell you "The World is all Gray."
Pattern by Kelly Smith. The whole piece is about 11" from base to top of Puncture's hair. Each doll is about 9" if standing. Made by Cheryl Zehner
Congrats Cheryl....we love your little bubble breakers!!!
