    Merry Meet & Welcome to our group! My name is Ptah5 and I have been a member
here for 4 years and its the best group ever ! There is always always
knowlegable and helpfull feed back to any subject posted as well as help  if

    So I have been connecting latly  With The Mayan & Meso-American deitys and
studing the 2012 phenomenon ? Has anyone eles started this path? And if so
please share your views! There is 2 Real RARE celestial events taking place on
December21,2012 1st the Sun is going to center with The Milkyway  and 2nd the
Earth completes its 26000 year wobble For those who are intrested in the this
events I would sugest reading a book called "The Mayan Calender" by  Carl Johann
Calleman  and " the Mayan factor" by Jose Arguelles which sparked all the
intrest in the Mayan calender in the 80s, and seeing the Histroy channel special
on it ,its on You Tube (the one realesd by the History channel) ive also been
working with a set of there glyphs, lenses and numbers in a set called " The
Mayan Oracle" and a set called 2013 both of which Ive have found very benificial
in connecting with these energys! A gain any views are always very intresting to
me and highly appreciated and valued!

Evil?  At the center of the galaxy?  I think it's possible that's
where our local Goddess resides (besides the one embodied by our
planet).  Think about it: a whole galaxy revolves around Her, She
gives birth to stars, and She eats everything that strays too close to
Her mouth.

Hi paul, the solstice is on the 21st. And I think your right nothing
will happen on that day to change the mind of mankind everafter, Like

No you didn't think, i wasn't accounting for any of the other things. the I
Ching is an interesting point for the 2012ish mystery. The things that stand
out  most to me is Mayan calender and the hints through sumerian myths and the
like  (hints at the return of something, sometimes the gods or some great
celestial  war [the lost book of enki, i believe is the name has an interesting
concepts of  the return of the gods]) most of the other points and facts about
2012 mystery I  thought most people knew. I distinctly remember a segment on
some later in the  night program (which i thought was the history channel but i
might be wrong it  might have been another TV station) either had a
theory/idea/concept etc about  some alignment with the galactic core or
something along
those lines. I  mentioned that as I thought it was something unique compared
to everything else.  I was not trying to account for why most of the great
civilizations or systems  have some cease or ending to calenders and what not
around or on  2012.

Sumarian, tell me a little more about that. Never heard anything about

would so many " coincedeces" happen to agree
at first I thought it was like the second coming of christ which every
generation believes will happen in there life time but hasnt. And I

I'm probably riddled with typos but yes Sumerains, where the first
archealogical civilization in the mesopotamian region, then followed the 
Assyrian,
Babylonian the  Chaldean. They from what my research shows  predates most of the
know civilizations. They just popped up out of no where. A  lot of the
archealogical facts/proof etc is spotty sometimes the are able to  extrapolate
full
myths. The seem to occasionally be  the target of Modern  New Agers and
Occultist from time to time (most recent is The Lost Book(s?) of  Enki, which im
not
sure if that is the proper title I can't verfy my copy yet  again seems to
have been stolen or lost -.-). Between the little subtleties  in this fragment
and that fragment, evaluation of the concept of the gods  and "abstract" gods ,
coupled with their apocalyptical outlook, the fact  the seem to always be
hinting at  the return of something which will lead  to something or good and
finally taking the lost book of Enki into account where  it says or indicates
that
the Gods are suppose to return to either safe us or  die (another thing
extrapolated from putting the pieces together).

  I do find it interesting that it seems every great civilization or  great
occult theory etc, seem to speak of some massive change or the "end of the
world" for some things the dates are different, but there is tooo much pointing
at this great 2012 mystery.

With somethings like the divined aquarian age now slowly coming into full
swing, and the fact like a lot of things, this idea of the "End of the World"
could be something more metaphoric. We could undergo a strong swing to more
utopian society (world wide) or there could be another large shift in religion
or even some other great thing could transpire to make the world itself stop
and  go wtf. Keeping along this train of thought its also possible to theorize
or  interpret that 2012 could be the beinging of this 'end'.

Now we can take all the above into consideration, we could under go the not
ideal 'slow' of the change of the axis of the earth but not something drastic
that would wipe humanity off the planet, coupled with some other awakening or
  massive 'wtf' causing event through the society of the world.

I am sure given anything we can find, we can continue to theorize or even
revise our theorize, which I would love to bounce around a group of people,  but
something tells me that between the powers out there and the Gods they are
going to make us wait and see what happens.

However i will laugh hysterically if some how its don great Divine/Godd
given unto joke. (Besides if I was them, I'd have been that bored back then *I*
plan or scheme some incredibly hilarious joke)

I think there will be a major, worldwide upheaval in 2012.  What with world
economies that are interdependent on each other and currently fragile or heading
for recessions, I think there will be some kind of financial/economic collapse. 
It would mean a big change in how people live their lives, and a lot of people
(the poor) without resources to be self-sufficient will suffer.  I'll probably
be right in the thick of it, because that's when I expect to graduate with a
degree in Social Work.  Now that I have a place to call "home", next summer I
intend to start a garden and can food.  If a major economic collapse happens,
the Amish in my area are going to end up rich, because suddenly everyone will be
wanting their horses, their farms, their low-tech products, etc.  Or, the whole
thing could be something like Y2K: everyone holds their breath and nothing
happens.

    Thanks so far for all the input on 2012 its allways fascinating to see
diffrent peolpes  thoughts and feelings on a subject! To shed some light on what
is known, out of all the writings that survived the invasions of the Mayan
civilization only 3 books survived and one (Dresdon)  speaks mostly of events
and what will happen at and after 2012( and yes there are still people) It shows
a drawing of Major Flooding( global warming Coastal cities, mass migration its
possible Remember Katrina) as to how life WILL BE for people is unclear. There
was also a Famous Ancient Mayan who predicted happings in each  Katun (period of
19.7 years) And  for the Katun period after 2012 ( Katun2) he predicts" For half
there will be food, for others misfortunes. A time of the end of the word of
God. A time for uniting for a cause." I agree with Drkstr there is too much info
and real events we know for a fact are going to happen( Sun centering with  The
Galaxy AND The Earth finishing its 26000
  year wobble) ON the Same Date  to be ignored! The End of the World scenarios
always crop up when major change is upon us! But as we all know change is an

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a paper for my Human Behavior in the Social Environment
class.  The focus is GLBT positive religious experiences, highlighting
Paganism and general Pagan attitudes about gay, lesbian, bisexual, and
transgendered people.  I have some sources to quote from on the
psychological angle, but I would like to cite some Pagan references as
well.  One that I was thinking of using for the Wicca 101 explanation
is Raymond Buckland (Bucky's Big Blue Book, a.k.a. the Complete Book
of Witchcraft), but I want other sources as well.  They should be
well-respected within the wider Pagan community, and touch on gay
spirituality.  I don't have a lot of money to spend replacing my
library either, but I could probably spring for 1-2 really good books.
  What/who do you all recommend?  (No, I don't own any of Gerina
Dunwich's either, due to previous chronic lack of funds.)

its the fact that there is a end time, a return of the gods (in that book)
and with in mythology a re-awakening of tiamat and the 7 liers in waiting and
the ones chained. Its the consideration that this could be their form of the
2012. As several things point to some strange "End Time" in 2012, then when
you  look at the other mythologies etc that speak of returns of this or that or
harold in the in of the world or massive change to reality, its just more
food  for thought and makes one wonder what is going to happen and which legend
or  mythology is going to be correct. That's just the sumerian concept for the
end  times/ dramatic change.

My apologies, some of the content that I refer to have use as data for  what
I say is not in the Lost books of Enki, however they are found in various
myths, legends and lore and of course other Sumerian in concept material that
makes a good valid point or actually ties into other myths etc. My apologies, it
  seems everytime I tackle my posts im either half awake and getting ready for
  work or to go out and on the flipside, im passing out cuz its 5 hrs past my
