Just how do you figure that Lark Voorhies, Beyonce, Ananda, and Jayne Kennedy (all people with two "black" parents), are "Mixed"?" ))
Response:
Hi Wilventura,
Welcome to our group and thanks for writing.
You have raised a really excellent question!
Here is our answer ...
Actually all of these people are, in fact, Mixed-Race, seeing that none of their parents are `mono'-racially 'Black' people at all.
Although their parents may ascribe to a social-political "identity" that is often referred to as "black", they are clearly *not" `mono'-racially 'Black' people at all – but rather are members of the largely Multi-Racially Mixed `Ethnic' group currently referred to as African-American' (AA).
Being of the AA `Ethnic' group does *not* mean that one is necessarily `mono'-racially "black".
In fact, +70% of the people who are born to two (2) AA parents, are, like the individuals listed in your post, actually of a "racial" lineage known as MGM-Mixed and of a tri-racial ancestral heritage.
For more information on the MGM-Mixed lineage of *most* of the people who are of the AA 'Ethnicity', feel free to review the data in the link found below.
