Gavilan Park has been a long-time fixture within the Greater Lake Mathews area and long-time part of the Gavilan Plateau. A once vacation village that has become the pride of ownership and "Home" to over 200 families. Gavilan Park is a cultural part of this area and holds some of the oldest history of the area. Owners and residents have seen the park cast aside by the county. As residents within Unincorporated Riverside County we still have needs and rights. Most prominent is the issue of the roadways in Gavilan Park, their condition, their safety, their needs, their impacts on property value and community pride. These are issues that need to be addressed. This site is for owners and residents of Gavilan Park. Here you can address issues, needs, thoughts and desires for the Gavilan Park area of this community. We will start with addressing the roads, who owns them, who pays the taxes on them, who is liable for them, who is responsible for their maintenance and upkeep. What are the current needs of these roadways to make and keep them safe and to improve the property values within the park? We all know that the roadways are one of the biggest causes of the drop in value of the properties within the park. For some this has discouraged pride in their community. Coming together as a community we can better address how to bring back and keep our community pride.
