Welcome to the Gateway Stonewall Democrats of St. Louis, MO!

We are a chapter of the National Stonewall Democrats.

We are dedicated to advancing equal rights for all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. We exist to encourage our community to support and vote for Democratic candidates who are committed to fairness and equality for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Americans.

Our chapter will work with other local and national LGBT organizations and Democratic clubs to end homophobia, and fight bigotry and intolerance.

The Gateway Stonewall Democrats (GSD) do not exist to compete with other LGBT political organizations in the area, but rather to complement their efforts and lend a partisan viewpoint to issues of importance to us all.

Members of other LGBT and Democratic groups are most welcome here!

While you do not have to be a member of the GSD to belong to this Yahoo! group, please DO join us and lend your time, talents, and energy to our chapter!

We meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 4 p.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ 3460 Jamieson Ave. St. Louis 63139.

To join this Yahoo! group you must:

1. Be a Democrat or support our vision and goals.
2. Be of voting age.
3. Have a completed Yahoo! profile with age, city, state, and gender filled out.

While this is primarily a group for LGBT Democrats, our straight allies and supporters are also welcome to join. This is NOT an adult group and postings of that nature are not wanted! Our goal is to use this Yahoo! group to disseminate important and pertinent information of a political or activist nature, and to keep our membership alerted to issues in keeping with our chapter's vision and goals.

Further, statements made by individual members of this group are their personal opinion and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Board and/or Officers of GSD or the GSD chapter.
