Welcome to the Garrett Park Neighbors listserve. This privately owned listserve group is a way for neghbors in Garrett Park, Garrett Park Estates and White Flint Park to communicate information about town issues, upcoming events and recommended services (for example: contractors, lawn care, doctors, baby sitters, etc.) not to be used for unsolicited marketing. This is also an efficient way to communicate safety issues and concerns within the neighborhood. Our neighborhood is composed of a wide variety of backgrounds and experience levels. This list serv will allow all neighbors to tap into these resources. Please be mindful of each other's time by entering a descriptive subject line in your email. We welcome suggestions on how to improve this list serv and make it beneficial for all neighbors. this listserve is at the discression of it's owners and users can be uninvited for failure to observe and adhere to the stated rules. No personal attacks tolerates.If you want to post something that is clearly partisan or political you may do so ongarrettparkneighbors@yahoogroups.com only if you ALSO post the opposing view. For instance if you post information about an upcoming fundraiser for a County Council candidate you must also post information or a source of information (website link for example) for his or her opponents.
As a general rule, please don't post news items from other websites or newspapers unless they are purely of local interest and when you do so, as a matter of courtesy please use only the weblink and not the text
of the article. Also, do not post items forwarded from other sources unless you are sure they are reliable i.e. virus free and based in fact) We're open to any ideas for better use of the list so feel free to let us know what you think
