You might expect that, but it doesn't.

The X series implements the same USB protocol that the dashtops use,
not the same one that the handhelds ("C series") use. Applications
that support both will probably be fine. Apps that don't support the
dashtop (bulk xfers on bulk pipes instead of on interrupt pipes)
protocols won't work.

I have the 60CSx and more often than not the Max-Elevation remains blank after the unit is powered on. It stays this way until I tinker around with resetting...
