Welcome to the better way to garden...organically! This list is for learning and discussing various ways to garden using only organic (non-chemical, non-insecticidal, non-herbicidal) methods.

Composting, permaculture, xeroscaping, natural gardening/farming, using native plants are all examples of things we discuss. All discussions pertaining to gardening are our favorite topics.

On Tuesdays we have a feature called Plant Talk. Each week information about one plant is given in as much detail as possible, along with some personal observations by the writer....a member, or a moderator from this group. Another feature of this group is Recipe Day....done on Tuesdays. On this day we share recipes using what is growing in our gardens, along with other ingredients. We also have Garden Talk. Garden Talk is a feature to give information on various methods of gardening, insect identification and handling, landscaping, garden preparation. Any member may do one of these, but it must be sent to a moderator. Usually only one is posted in a week, though if it is a series, it may be posted in succession over several days. Garden Talks are not posted every week. We do all get busy in the garden, after all!

On the every Friday of each month we allow our established members who sell products relating to organic gardening, use of produce, etc. to post one ad. Advertisers must put AD in the subject line. And follow up with inquiries OFF LIST. You must have been a participating member in good standing for at least a month before posting an ad.
