Description

Many Americans are watching their loved ones and family members suffer abuse while estates are financially exploited in the very State guardianship courts set up to protect the vulnerable and incapacitated.

Outrageously high legal fees and professional guardianship fees are paid out from the assets of the "incompetent" person. Cases linger needlessly for months and years in an elaborate scheme crafted by those who make a fortune charging exhorbitant legal and guardianship fees all rubber stamped to be paid from the assets of the ward they have a duty to protect.

What is the motivation to curb this trend ? Today there is none. Everyone knows once the estate is depeted the victim will qualify for Medicaid and the American Taxpayers will pick up the tab.

Family members and loved ones who attempt to intervene or who suggest something is wrong will be viciously attacked and labeled as "greedy" and accused of uproven allegations and crimes and rarely given a day in court to prove their innocense. In the meantime the bleeding of the estate continues unabated and unquestioned.

Studies have been done for 20 years & Reports decrying and warning of the escalation of abuse that we are now experiencing. Legislation proposed for 20 years seeking to reform guardianships at the National Level has been quietly shoved aside on some Congressional Committee's shelf never to see the light of day again.

ALL THESE YEARS WHILE EVERYONE INCLUDING NATIONAL ADVOCACY GROUPS AND LEADERS KNEW THERE WAS A PROBLEM WE WERE LEFT TO SUFFER AND OUT LOVED ONE LEFT TO SUFFER FROM THE HORRIFIC ABUSES BY LEGAL AND NON-LEGAL PROFESSIONALS IN THIS LUCRATIVE BUSINESS.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ... We will work together to advocate for change.
Post your stories and post your suggestions for change. Our goal is to get legislation in place to stop this national shame.
