The Greater Shady Grove Civic Alliance of Montgomery County, Maryland, is concerned about social and government events that impact our residents. Our Communities span the Shady Grove Metro area, including Candlewood, Cashell Estates, Derwood Station, Edinburgh, King Farm, Mill Creek Towne, Needwood Estates, Old Derwood, Park Overlook, Parkside Estates, Washington Grove, Amity Drive and greater Derwood neighborhoods. This includes areas in three Montgomery County Master Plans: Shady Grove, Unincorporated Gaithersburg, and Upper Rock Creek.

The objective (mission) of the Alliance is to educate and inform the citizens of the Greater Shady Grove area on matters of public concern and to act on matters of common interest in a manner consistent with positions approved by the membership.
