Re: can TM-D710 digipeat other SSID of mine only   Message List

I am posting this here cause I think I will get a quicker answer to my
question. for testing purposes I want to temporarily be able to
digipeat a balloon tracker for testing through my mobile to get it
into a local i-Gate. Im new to the TM-D710 and there is an option to
digipeat own callsign, I turn this on and it doesn't seem to do it. I
thought this would digipeat anything with n9qgs all the way through
n9qgs-15.

also this would be something I would like to temporarily activate
possibly when I reach a balloon that I know is not getting into an
igate so the final position may be obtained via aprs.fi for
onlookers. What feature and setting do I need to activate to set my
car up as a digipeater in a heartbeat. I believe the tracker is set
as wide 2-1 and i don't want to have to change settings on the tracker
whic would require me to unsolder the GPS lead to be able to
communicate programming data into the tiny-trak. I know there is a
resister value that would eliminate this, but I don't recall the value
so I have not been able to make this mod.

Any info appreciate, Ron N9QGS
