what dielectric is "AIR" it is 1 right? so for the dielectric I should input "1" right?
and 14 Ga wire is 2 mm diameter.
to make it 50 ohms the wire needs to be .4mm above the plane? geez the rubber insulation if left on probably would be close to the right spacing?

Like when making a open wire feed line the diameter of the conductors and spacing determines the impedance.
How about a single wire over a flat ground plane? there must be a formula somewhere for that.
