Hi Tammy.
My name is Michael Aspen. I am a second year culinary arts student,
president of The Chef's Club, and VP of Service for PTK, Alpha Alpha Lambda
at Edmonds Community College. I was wondering if we (EDCC and NSCC) could
collaborate on an event sometime? Our chapter is quite frankly loosing
steam. I was particularly thinking about catering food (it is what I do) for
an event. I know that NSCC has a culinary department. I am not wanting to
step on anyone's toes here, just hoping to benefit all involved and make
opportunities available to my successor.
Cheers,
Michael
North Seattle Community College's Drama Department will be
performing the play, Another Day in Baghdad. Tonight is the first
showing, and it will be playing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the
next few week-ends. The playwright will be speaking afterwards.
Phi Theta Kappa will be co-sponsoring this event on Friday, February
18th. The play starts at 7:30 pm, and I will be bringing my soon-to-
be-famous chocolate chip cookies! There will also be vegetables and
coffee. Everyone is welcome; the event is pay-as-you-can, and we
hope to see many supporters of the arts and Phi Theta Kappa, as
befits our Honors Study Topic, Popular Culture.
Hope to see you there!

evolution of Heavy Metal Music.
This seminar will be held on February 25, 2005 in Lecture C320 in the
Cascade building. In the photo section of this group you can view
the flyer with full info. Feel free to print a few and post on your
campus.
See you then,

On Thursday 2/10/2005, there will be a Scholarship Workshop hosted by
Jackie Toma. The workshop is being held in the Cascade Building, 4th
floor in Dining Bay C and starts at 1:00pm.
Hope to see you there,
Wil
Got it. Thanks. I'm sure my pathetic attempt at minute-writing pales in comparison with your superlative skills of composition (in plain English: I'm glad you are the Regional Recording Officer). Lotsaluv,

Hi Hollie and welcome to the group. Yes, Aaron and I have talked
quite a bit. Which is great since our campuses are so close to each
other.
Feel free to post anything here to let other chapters know what is
going on. I know there was some interest expressed at the Winter

It may not be a Phi Theta Kappa event but Tacoma Community College
has a presentation next Wednesday where Bobby Seale, one of the
organizers of the Black Panther Party will be speaking.
I encourage anyone who is interested in or has questions about the
civil rights movement of the 60's make time to attend this event. I
will be there.
It is being held in the afternoon from 1:00pm - 2:30pm. I will post
more info for those who are interested.
Wil
Thank you to all of our new members from Tacoma, Spokane Falls,
Wenatchee Valley, and Centralia. Please take some time to introduce
yourself and let us know about your chapter activities.
Wil
Yes you can attend without an advisor. This event is free and does
not require the use of chapter funds.
Glad to hear from you.
Wil

Thanks!

Please be patient. This is the first day for this group and this
has been a pretty busy week for yours truly.
I will be posting pics from various regional and chapter events
early next week. I would put some on now but I think I am attending
a conference this weekend out in Moses Lake.
All are welcome to post pics or chapter/campus info.

On 1/26/05, after a beautiful induction ceremony, there was an Open
Mic Night event co-hosted by the Phi Theta Kappa members at Green
River Community College.
I was impressed by the talented students who decided to share their
poetry, songwriting, and talents in oral presentation. I am sure
there will be some blackmail pics of me posted soon.
Thank you Alpha Chi Beta Chapter for helping to put on a great event.
