This list is a place for GA unschoolers to get together and discuss whole life unschooling. An unschooled child can choose what they want to learn and do, live in freedom and find a great joy. Unschooling is living life, from watching TV or playing video games to painting, raising animals—everything! Here in this respectful community we talk about what whole life unschooling brings to our family's lives.

Unschooling is *not* a hands-off type of parenting or living, it will often include a parent or guardian. If you are coming to this from conventional parenting it can be a leap of faith—faith in your child as a human. Unschooling can question some traditional thoughts that usually don't get questioned in other circles. Such as kids making their own choices, not unaccompanied, but not controlled either. There can be a balance, living your lives together.

This is a moderated list. There will be a two- week moderation period for new members and we encourage you to read a bit before posting so you can get a feel for the list. New members can post, but their messages will go through a moderator first for those first two weeks.
