We are a group that formed for homeschooling support and fellowship in Snohomish County (Snohomish, Everett & close by). The group was started by some moms with specific interests in common including Christian attachment parenting, gentle discipline, teaching through real life & good books, and a desire to learn about Charlotte Mason’s philosophy of education. The vision was to have a group of families with similar interests for fellowship and shared activities. We began with families with young children.

The GATE Group has been growing. There are still many young lower-elementary kids and there are some older children as well. Most activities are still geared toward the younger ages, but some are for a broad age-range (or the older kids help younger ones). Current members of the group are Christian families who are interested in the writings of Charlotte Mason. While the families of our group have a variety of interests, opinions, convictions, parenting styles, and use various materials, our common ground is Christian faith and a foundation of Charlotte Mason's gentle philosophy of education.

Requirements for Group Membership:
Christian Faith, Interest in Charlotte Mason, and Currently homeschooling under the RCW 28A.200 Law

We have meetings, social events, playdates, show & tell, learning activities, and field trips. In the summer, we have Park Days.
