We are a NEWS group (NOT discussion group) for the Georgia Division Sons of Confederate Veterans. This group is open to MEMBERS ONLY in good standing with the Georgia Division SCV.

News and announcements for the good of the Division are welcome and encouraged from all members.

When you post a message it will go into a review file to make sure it is a news release and not discussion, spam, etc.

The mission of the SCV is best said with the Charge to the Sons of Confederate Veterans given by Lt. General Stephen Dill Lee, CSA, Commander General, United Confederate Veterans, 1906:

"To you, Sons of Confederate Veterans, we submit the vindication of the Cause for which we fought; to your strength will be given the defense of the Confederate soldier's good name, the guardianship of his history, the emulation of his virtues, the perpetuation of those principles he loved and which made him glorious and which you also cherish. Remember it is your duty to see that the true history of the South is presented to future generations".

When requesting to join the NEWS list, Division Officers need the following information for verification of your membership:
Name
Address
Phone
Camp Name, Number & Location
Camp Commander

Once verified you will be officially subscribed to the NEWS list.
