The worldwide Freecycle Network™ (www.freecycle.org) is made up of many individual groups across the globe. It's a grassroots movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. Membership is free. One person's trash can truly be another's treasure!

EVERYTHING POSTED MUST BE FREE. Or, maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself? Respond to the posting directly and you just might get it. After that it is up to the giver to set up a pickup time.

* Please use the following tag words (in ALL CAPS for quick reference) in your subject lines, whichever is applicable: OFFER, WANTED, PENDING, TAKEN, RECEIVED (only as a follow-up to a previous WANTED), THANK YOU.

* WANTED messages limited to *one* per person per week; at least one month must elapse before posting repeat WANTEDs

* OFFER items to just ONE person at a time; no "it's at the curb" posts

* NO PETS -- Posting an animal to the group (either offering OR wanting) will get you removed from the group without warning.

* NO COUPONS, TICKETS, OR REWARD PROGRAM POINTS. Doesn't fit the mission.

* NO EXPIRED/OPENED FOOD, MEDICATIONS (EVEN OTC), OR CARSEATS. Too risky, could be unsafe.

* PLEASE LIST YOUR GENERAL LOCATION IN ALL OFFER POSTS. This will save both you and any responders time and trouble.

* REMEMBER THAT FREECYCLE IS NOT A CHARITY. While it often does help those in need, our primary objective is keeping useful items out of the landfills.
