This group is for those of us that like to visit and share with friends. You do not have to live in the country but discussions will lean strongly towards homesteads and small farms. I want this group to be more about frugal rural living philosophy and dreams than about coupon clipping and doing without everything. This is hoped to be a place of tolerance and respect for the expression of ideas and dreams presented. Most related topics are acceptable except party politics. I don't care what political party you support, just leave it outside of the door. I also believe there are plenty of list discussing home schooling with out getting bogged down with it here. Religion may be discussed as long as it is with tolerance and respect. While I generally don't like censorship I have seen list ruined by lack of moderation. I will not tolerate bigotry, trolling, spamming or parroted political rhetoric...
Tell us what you are doing with your house and buildings, your shops and machinery, your fields and fences, Your gardens, your small enterprises, your critters from rabbits to horses (humane treatment yes but no animal rights extremist please). What are your ideas about heating or power generation. What are your hobbies.
