Frog Legs Scuba Club is an informal group of divers dedicated to the advancement of scuba diving in the middle east and worldwide. The Yahoo group was started by Jerry, an instructor living in Abu Dhabi, who made efforts to organize monthly classes and trips "to a background of jimmy buffett music and a friendly atmosphere."

When Jerry left the UAE in 2003, Vance was able to maintain the program through his association with ADHFC, where he was able to organize frequent trips around Abu Dhabi using club boats. However, ADHFC ceased its diving program in early 2005.

Nowadays the group is loosely maintained by Vance and Bobbi and Nicky, and Jerry at a distance. We welcome divers using the group as a forum for organizing dive trips and related activities in the UAE and througout the region. (And our musical tastes are now highly eclectic)

However we have been experiencing a problem with spammers joining our group for the purpose of sending annoying emails (doubly annoying for moderators who have to manage the problem). Therefore, in future no membership requests will be approved without some indication from the person requesting to join us that he or she has some affinity with our common interests.

The fact that you, a non-robot, would be able to leave any kind of appropriate message, would most likely result in approval and hopefully, your presence on one of our future dive trips.
