French_Resistance offers a dialogue and ideas exchange forum for living historians, reenactors and students of the everyday Frenchman's struggle against German occupation in World War Two. Our goals include the posting of easily accessible information on the Resistance and its constituent groups, notable personalities, tactics and equipment, related units, political as well as military importance and, as they come to light, newly revealed facts related to the movement.

This is also the online home for Combat!FFI, a group of living historians who recreate the wartime exploits of Combat!, Henri Frenay's celebrated Resistance organization. Combat!FFI is based in San Antonio, Texas.

Members of this online list are encouraged to post photographs of period or recreated Resistance activities and personnel, copies of relevant documents, memorabilia, book and film reviews, and other items of interest.

Prospective Combat!FFI members are asked to submit a short biography and summary of their living history interests as part of their "enlistment" process.

The French Resistance inspires all who revere initiative, resourcefulness, courage, national pride and the rights of Man; French_Resistance and Combat!FFI pay homage to those secretive, selfless "soldiers of the night."
