Hello everyone!
We have some VERY exciting news! On 7.16.09, the FreecycleWakefieldRI
Group will be moving from the Yahoo Groups system to the new group
directly on the Freecycle.org website!

What does this mean for you?
The new site has a message maker capability that will allow you to more
easily post to the group, as well as to then track the responses to the
same. This allows more posts to go through to the group without being
rejected or edited while enabling you to quickly see who is responding to
your posts or to close a post, etc.

What do you need to do now?
1. Go to http://my.freecycle.org and click on ‘sign up’
2. Fill in the boxes with your Username and Email Address (make sure you
use the same details that you currently use for the group). Don't forget to
check the terms of service box. Click the 'sign up' box.
3. The next screen will appear, telling you your account has been created
and to go check your email. Make sure you check the email address you
specified when you joined.
4. You will receive an email with your username and a temporary psword.
5. Go back to the Freecycle page and click ‘log in’ on the top right.
6. Fill in username and temporary psword and click log in
7. The first page you see will prompt you to change your temporary
psword to a new one. Do so & click "Save new psword".
8. Click ‘My Groups’ Tab, type in Wakefield, RI. Click on ‘Find Group’
9. Click on ‘Join this group’ - Once your account has been authorized
you'll receive a mail from me with the rules & regs, please
read this.
10. Once you have joined the group you can post to the list - Go to the 'My
Freecycle' tab & everything you'll ever need is in there :)

PLEASE NOTE: It is very important that you sign up at the new website ASAP to continue being a member of this group. After July 16th the Yahoo Group will no longer be available for members to use. You can begin using the new website right away to post messages.
