Freecycle Bloemfontein/Mangaung is affiliated to the rapidly growing Freecycle Network™. A global, grassroots, and non-profit movement of environmentally aware and responsive people who help reduce consumption and waste by connecting those throwing away items with others seeking the same. One person's trash can truly be another's treasure!

How does it work?

When you want to discard something, whether it's a chair, fax machine, piano, magazines, or an old door, simply send an e-mail offering it to members. No item is too big or too small. If you are looking to obtain something yourself, post a request or respond to an offer and it could be yours. Membership is free.

Our main rule: Everything posted must be legal, appropriate for all ages, and FREE. No money, no swapping, no trading, no barter, and no strings attached!

Non-profit organizations also benefit from The Freecycle Network and are encouraged to join. Post the item(s) you want to give away and specify that you wish the gift to benefit a non-profit cause. It's a free cycle of giving.

Who can use it?

Think globally, recycle locally. The Bloemfontein/Mangaung Freecycle Network is open to all who want to recycle, rather than contribute to landfill, in the Bloemfontein/Mangaung area. Alternatively, check out freecycle.org to find a group closer to you, or start your own local Freecycle group.
