The Freecycle Network(TM) is made up of many individual groups across the globe. It's a grassroots movement of people who are giving and receiving stuff for free in their own towns. This site is for residents of the Hattiesburg, Mississippi area and all potential members are expected to reside nearby. We do not allow proxy memberships as we've found that the local aspect of Freecycle works better for our members. The spirit of Freecycle is driven by GIVING. When individuals join it is expected that they will make a good faith effort to contribute to the group rather than immediately begin asking for items.

Freecycle Hattiesburg promotes waste reduction and provides individuals and non-profits an electronic forum to recycle unwanted items.

WANTED: old couch (location) **Only 3 items per WANTED post with 2 WANTED posts per 7 days. No WHYs or sob stories allowed! If you want something, just ask!

3) CAN WE USE FREECYCLE TO FIND NEW HOMES FOR PETS? Yes, keep it legal and be lovingly careful.
