This group is for the discussion and enjoyment of the works of Frances Hodgson Burnett. Burnett (1849-1924) is most famous as the author of the classic children's novels The Secret Garden, Little Lord Fauntleroy, and A Little Princess, but she wrote as many as 60 highly entertaining novels for adults as well. The Making of a Marchioness, The Shuttle, T.Tembarom, and A Fair Barbarian are some of the delightful works we hope to discuss. This online group is associated with the Frances Hodgson Burnett Society, which was recently founded at the first international Frances Hodgson Burnett conference held at the Arne Nixon Center at Fresno State University, 25-27 April 2003. Everyone is welcome to come and explore Burnett's work with us.
