Description
We're here to restore Fort Miles as a museum for the 261st Coast Artillery.
One of our needs for the Fort Museum Project is manpower. We are progressing nicely with the few people we have, and would like to get more members involved, hands on.
We have specific tasks, such as demolition, electrical, plumbing, ventilation, painting, installing displays, and others to get Battery 519 ready for displays. We also have need for help with the barracks, the artillery, and many other items that need tender loving care!
All members are encouraged to ask questions and open discussions on all things Fort Miles or Coast Artillery. News and events are published on this list to keep you in the know - and you can speak directly volunteers and Delaware State Parks staff about what's happening at the Fort Miles Historic Site.
This is a work in progress. Expect changes. All for the better!

Re: A really good week!
Dear All, would like to thank the group...and particularly Dan...for the organization of the FMHA storeroom. It was a mess and now it looks very organized!

A really good week!
I'll probably not catch everything, but here goes... The gophers have been very busy indeed! Lots of trenches around Battery 519 for the geothermal heat pump
