For the Heart is a women's Christian outreach ministry that combines the gift of prayer with the gift of a handmade item.

We crochet, knit, sew, quilt, and embroider Prayer Cloths and lap quilts. We also make Prayer Shawls, warm mittens, sweaters, socks and scarves. Some provide Mother's Tears hankies for grieving mothers, and baby items for mothers in need... Some make pocket prayer cloths for soldiers, and gifts to comfort families in crisis centers. We may send a card when needed.

It is comforting to know that God loves us; and that someone is committed to praying for us. The person who receives a gift from us has something tangible to hold; and will know they were being prayed for while their gift was made.

There is no greater gift than the gift of prayer!

In Acts 19:11-12, it speaks of how cloths (aprons and handkerchiefs) were touched to Peter and Paul and taken back to the sick who were often cured of their ills.

Prayer cloths can be used for the dying, the ill, birthing, the aged, the lonely and fearful, cures of all kinds, conversions, consolations of soul and body, family difficulties, burials, calamities, special occasions, and devotional praying.

ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IS REQUIRED with at least 4 gifts per year; and you must be on either digest or individual mail.
