Building Sailing Footy's in the USA

The hottest new model R/C Sailboat class to hit the US Shores.

Join the fun as we promote these small easy to build, packable, affordable 12" boats across the USA and Canada.

Relax, enjoy some peaceful sailing around the pond or race in a Regatta...

This site, is for all to share their Footy tips, ideas, photographs, building plans and kit boat experiences, etc.

If your a manufacturer of any Footy boat hull, please make a post in the message area. Describe your hull and add your website link in the "LINKS" section. You may also start a photo album in the "PHOTO" section. Please no direct selling. Those interested in buying should contact the vendor through the posted website.

Many of us are seasoned sailors as well as newbies, if you need help regarding Footy's, feel free to make a post.

I have upgraded from the futaba 3115 to the futaba 3102 as well. metal gears enough torque...it is also the rudder servo for my footy, s1m, victoria, and odom.

Hi "rustynail_snr", Are you talking about sail or rudder servos? An HS-55 is a micro servo with the following torque specs: 15.27 / 18.05 oz.in (4.8v/6v), or

Balanced rigs should not need any where near that much Torque! That is as much as a RG65 uses with 2250sqcm of sail! A modern RC setup should be in the 30-50gm
