Description
The purpose of this list is to discuss the word of God and to share resources such as articles and outlines on biblical topics.
Since this list is not intended for just “chat”, you can expect to see a minimum of posts that contain little or no beneficial comments or material. Our focus is on learning and teaching truth.
Members are expected to conduct themselves according to the rules and members will be disciplined for unacceptable behavior that is not in accordance with the aim of this group, which is to “focus on truth”. The owners and moderators intend to be fair and just with all.
The list owners and moderators are determined for FOT to be a place where healthy debate and exchange of information and ideas can take place, but where sensitive persons can feel comfortable.
With your help FOT can be a list that the members can be proud of and will invite their friends, family and neighbors to join.
The extensive rules or guidelines for posting messages (included in the welcome letter) are intended to benefit all by helping to promote a learning environment that, ideally, is free of inappropriate behavior that is all too often gone unimpeded or allowed only by those who subscribe to the beliefs of the list owners. Ridicule, name calling (false teacher, liberal, heretic, etc.), rudeness, intimidation, making charges against another that cannot be substantiated, using guilt by association, and other means to discredit someone are things that will not be tolerated on FOT.
