Program Specialist II - Commercial
Job Description
Manages commercial energy efficiency and/or demand response programs. Includes program design, process development and system integration, marketing and communications, contract management, daily operations, payment processing, and reporting of results. Creates new programs in addition to managing existing ones. The Program Specialist II--Commercial will work with team leaders and other staff to develop plans and procedures for implementing commercial energy efficiency and demand response programs. In addition, the Specialist II is expected to demonstrate formal presentation skills, high-level decision-making abilities and provide supervisors with supporting evidence to make frequent decisions.
Required Skills
Knowledge of common software programs such as Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office. Energy efficiency terms and products, and utility company operations. Skills in project management; clear, concise writing; program planning and development skills; customer service; information monitoring, data analysis. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities; prepare written and oral reports; work independently, initiate action; develop third party contracts.
Required Experience
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or related field. Experience: Five years experience in project management; including two years experience in a utility, customer service, marketing or related field. Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (based on driving requirements for the position)
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering. Experience: Three years of work experience in utility industry with a customer-related focus. Knowledge of commercial and industrial energy efficiency concepts and industrial processes including HVAC systems, lighting, motors, refrigeration, and air pressure. Skills in marketing campaigns and tactics; familiarity with Oracle, Access and/or ProClarity software; engineering applications. Ability to identify and solve technical issues in energy efficiency; negotiate complex issues.
