Singapore Financial Industry Research

Project Description

You will assist to conduct broad research in various topics e.g. industry trends, competitor analysis, products, regulation, labour market.

You will rely on various public and non-public sources of information such as news, press releases, television programmes, web sites (e.g. company, industry associations, government), journals, consulting firms, recruitment agencies, academia and our network of practitioners.

Meetings will be conducted outside working hours. You should also be available during the day to complete some small urgent tasks. As such, you should preferably not be holding a full-time salaried job.

 

You will gain exposure to various high-skilled businesses (e.g. corporate banking, investment, wealth management) and functions (e.g. economic analysis, strategy, market research), opportunity to work with various financial practitioners (e.g. economist, fund manager, wealth managers) and access to various inside industry information, insights and intellectual property

 

Preferred Candidate

Relevant degree e.g. banking, finance, economics, business, accounting

Relevant experience & professional qualifications (e.g. CFA, CMFAS)

Broad knowledge of the Singapore financial industry, products, regulation, etc

Broad knowledge of global financial industry, centres, issues, etc (e.g. Basel)

Broad understanding of business issues (e.g. macro-economy, strategy, market research, operations, technology)

Able to write concisely & clearly

Good numerical & data manipulation skills (e.g. MS Excel)

Creative, full of initiative, independent

Able to meet outside working hours e.g. lunch, weekday evening, weekends
