I'm halfway through Hidden Warrior now, and one thing has occurred to me. The
incrediable food that keeps appearing at these feasts! I mean, they sound
great! All I can ever think of though is "That must have been hell to make!" ...
I mean they are, really ... some very difficult dishes there, but very very
cool. Some of them sound recognizable (I mean, I've heard these receipes
before), but really, there are quite a few original dishes I've never thought of
before.

Anyway, I just had to say something, because I think you could put together a
cook book of receipes from Hidden Warrior alone, not to mention various
dishes from the other five books.

There you go, put together a receipe collection (if you're brave enough to
put together some of those dishes) ... hey, I'd buy it ^_^

Very cool! I'm looking forward to reading it. I have
the book, but then....just as I was going to settle in
for a long summer's read...the Writing Bug hit me!

She is an elusive muse and when bites, I had better
write!! If I start reading Hidden Warrior now, the
muse will leave me or worse, try to write like LYNN
instead of like Andrea. I will get massively
depressed because I don't think I will ever write as
well as the Goddess does and my little effort will be
tossed in the trash and then Claudia would hit me and
that would be VERY not good.

So, Sweet Goddess, can you forgive me for holding off
just a little while longer on Hidden Warrior???? If I
can get a couple of scenes on paper before the muse
disappears again......

ARGGGG...damn muse, she waits until NOW????? GRRRRR

Andrea -- frustrated at not being a frustrated writer? weird

Got it today -- had to have the gentleman at the counter go grab one
for me. While he was in back, I reorganized the Flewelling section
so the books were in order. :-)

Looks terrific so far -- Brother's even more nerve-wracking than in
BDT.

Well I haven't had a chance to read any of the NIGHT RUNNER books so I have no
idea what this character might look like. In my opinion, though, it really is
very good piece in and of its self.

I could have finished it earlier, but I was busy with my final

Not that anyone would have missed me, though *g*

Anyway, I'd be happy about some feedback of course ^^

I had pre-ordered HW, but when I checked just now they still hadn't
shipped it! They manage to deliver the Harry Potter book on the day it's
published, but they can't even SHIP this one? :P I canceled the order.
I'll just go pick it up at Borders tomorrow -- that way I can get it to
read on my plane flight while I travel for the 4th of July.

Yea, I know how that is. I pre-ordered HW from Amazon originally too, but
cancelled it when I noticed it wouldn't ship until July 8 at the earliest. I
ordered it way back in Feburary, so at the time I thought the book wasn't due
until at least July 8 ... when I found out it was July 1, I just had it ordered
through Barnes and Noble, and they got it to me in a day.

But overall, I still like Amazon. Amazon was where I first discovered Lynn
Flewelling, by searching for fantasy books, was able to get a "look inside" the
first few pages of Luck in the Shadows. I loved the style of language (not
ornate or pretentious like a lot of fantasy writers), and the characters very
likable, so I ordered the book, and naturally, never regretted it ^_^

~Heidi (who wants to watch The Lion in Winter, despite the late hour) ... my
eyes are blurred from reading. I'm on part 3 of HW now *grins*

Decided to add a photo of the Dunes near my area.... The photo is not mine,
but shows the Empire bluffs overlooking Lake Michigan. In the foreground,
you'll see a typical dune hill with deciduous trees. The sand is white to
yellow, the water is clear and cool. The Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore

*Thinks*

Yes, yes I would, but that has to do with a dislike of reciving
gifts...

Mind you I did nag my friends until they told me who died in the
latest HP book... so I guess the answer is still yes.

Luckily for writers (and singers) alike I enjoy OWNING things... so
even if I have burnt copies of things... or ahve read a book or
whatever I still have to OWN my own REAL copy.

it is lovely! I like the composition, the character,
the spell effect, even the beard! (I have a hard time
getting Thero in to a beard because I'm not personally
found of face hair....but Lynn said he is bearded
so..on it goes!)

It is a wonderful drawing and I'm completely jealous
because my stick figures look a little odd.

I preordered from amazon.com with a couple of other books to get the
free shipping for orders >$25. They said they'd ship around the 8th
and it would arrive on around the 12th--but marvellous surprise, it
shipped yesterday and arrived TODAY. Plus no tax and I saved about
$10 on the other two books (Hidden Warrior is not being sold at a
discount there)
My one mistake, I realized after the order, was that I hadn't gone to
amazon.com from Lyn's web page portal that presumably gives her a
little cut of profits. Next time I will.
I'm looking forward to reading it tonight.

I just spent the past four days at lovely lake
Ombegog(sp?) in northern New Hampshire/Maine (couple
hours from where I live in NH) blissfully disconnected
from the hassles of life and modern technology. And
what did I choose to bring with for entertainment when
swimming and boating had lost their luster? One of the
goddess' books of course!

Since my copy of Hidden Warrior hadn't come in when I
left I satisfied myself with rereading Stalking
Darkness and falling in love with Seregil, Alec and
Thero all over again. I'd forgotten how much fun it
was to watch Seregil and Alec's relationship slowly
unfold. My mom's currently reading Traitor’s Moon and
she's a slow reader so I'll have to wait to reread
that one, with all it's Thero goodness, for after
Hidden Warrior.

As much as I'm enjoying the Tamir Trilogy and can't
help but long for the next Nightrunner book to come
out, whenever that may be. ::wistful sigh::

Whimper.

Sniffle. You know how the UK release date is the 7th July? I.e. Tomorrow.
Yay. Well it seems Amazon UK had their books in on the 1st because they took
the payment from my card then. And they posted it Friday yay so it'll be here
on the day of release. They are hopeless at putting the correct estimated
delivery date. Whatever they say on the site, most of the time the book will
turn
up on the day of release anyway :-).

I can't wait til the morning :-).

ps... Watch the Tour de France :-). I was just chatting to this really
nice american guy I'm friends with in the evil online game, and he said he'd
actually heard of Lance Armstrong because he'd heard a comedian tell a joke
about him... gasp. And that most American hadn't a clue... Yikes.. I really hope
that's not true.. the man's incredible, he ought to be an American national
hero. How many people come back from cancer to win a three week bike race up

Sigh. And the scenery is pretty too :-). Talking of which it's the day one
