This list is about birding in Florida and the Bahamas and all related topics. Posts about upcoming trips and job opportunities are allowed. Posts about related subjects, such as environmental issues and dragonflies for example, and announcements for birding trips, businesses, and festivals also are allowed though discretion is suggested.

The above photo is of our latest Rarity in Florida. A Loggerhead Kingbird photographed by Jill Gaetzi at Fort Zachary, Key West on 3/9/07. The Loggerhead Kingbird was a first confirmed sighting in North America. Kingbird was first discovered March 3, 2007 and continued until March 27, 2007. Possibly the same kingbird was relocated on Stock Island on April 25, 2007, but the bird was not relocated the next day.

Playalinda Beach Pelandgic numbers 11/6/2009
Hi all, Here are the totals from most to least. We spent 7 1/2 hours last Friday, watching the ocean from crossover #7 at Playalinda Beach in Brevard County.
