This is the knitalong for anyone who has never knit a sock before, and wants to learn the skill! You may have purchased sock knitting books, tried patterns on the web-- and the end result is frustration over the actual sockknitting process. You may live in an area where access to a sock knitting class is limited, or you simply don't have the funds or time to attend a class. Whatever your situation may be, if you have basic knitting skills, you will be able to complete a pair of socks with this knitalong. We will be using a free internet knit class to learn the process, knitting a simple sock in worsted weight yarn with size 6 double pointed needles. When you have completed the initial sock, you will have learned the skills necessary to understand the basic construction of a sock. This knitalong starts anytime you are ready to learn to knit socks! There is no end date. New members are always welcome at anytime. Advertisements are not allowed. Posters of such will be immediately thrown out of this knit universe!
