Was not "partly coudy" as predicted. Overcast and cloudy but not too cold until I got on top. Then cold until the sun came around 2:00 and started to get cold again as the sun went behind the trees around 3PM. Saw a few small patches of snow inteh woods, a litle ice on the trail, nothing significant. Attached one end of G5RV to fire tower at about 40', other end on tree at 8'. Excellent signals on 10M. Most stations expressed surprise I was only running 10W. WD0C in Colorado was s9+10 with 100W and when he dropped to 1 watt he was still s7 and I could not tell any difference in audio.
