Welcome to the world of Fiber Art where you will find members from all walks of life enjoying the world of fibers: sewing, quilting, embroidery, knitting, crocheting, spinning, weaving, cross stitching, tatting, dyeing, batiking (is that a word?), macrame, braiding ... and so much more. Most of us have varied interests, so why should we be limited in our sharing and caring.

Join discussions about your favorite fiber art, ask questions, share your knowledge ... talk about your family, job, home, hopes ... off-topic is ok. Just keep it light and friendly. (Messages designed to promote business interests will be rejected.)

Why another group?

That's a good question. I don't know if I have a simple answer. For some time now, I thought it would be nice to bring all fiber artists into one big family. The exchange of information and range of topics would be fascinating and lively. Or so I hoped.

With some urging from a few friends, I've decided to give it a shot. I hope you will find this group to your liking and stay awhile.

REMEMBER: this is your group. If there isn't enough chat or discussion to your liking ... then start a topic. A group is only as active and interesting as it's participants.

IMPORTANT NOTE - PLEASE READ BEFORE REQUESTING MEMBERSHIP

We are a membership only group. In order to prevent spammers and harvesters access to our group (and email addresses) we have implemented 2 policies.

1. Upon request for membership you will be sent an informal form to fill out and return.
   You will not be approved until you send the form back to our moderators.

2. All new members are moderated for a trial period.

There are no exceptions made to these policies.
