Welcome to Fiber Art Traders, a Mail Art Group. This group is owned by fiber artist, Normajean Brevik who is a writer, designer and teacher of fiber arts. Many of our members are acclaimed fiber artists but we embrace artists of all skill levels in this group. We offer a safe and nurturing environment where mail art can be traded with other artists in organized trades and accountability is a key component.

We trade fiber art items like: Fiber Postcards (PC's), Art Trading Cards (ATC's), Artist Trading Pins (ATP's), Artist Trading Dolls (ATD's), fiber books and pages, and fiber ornaments, to name a few. Also included in our trades is the latest craze of Plus Size Inchies (PSI's) which was highlighted in Normajean's article, "Art By The Inchie", in Quilting Arts magazine (Aug/Sept '07 Issue 28). We encourage members to host trades and share their experience with new tools and techniques with us.

Occasionally we will offer free patterns to our group members. We also encourage participation in National and International challenges and contests help members to grow in their art. Participation is strictly voluntary at the National and International level. We also collaborate on charity and community service work from time to time.

We welcome suggestions and input from you for new trades. We ask that you participate in at least one group trade a year to remain in the group. Our trades are kept small to allow for a quicker turnaround and will usually range from 1 to 10 pieces. So if you are a newbie or and old hand at fiber art trading, join us for some fun. We look forward to getting to know you.
