Ah! all this info pouring in, reminds me!! we were there mid August and the
orphanage didn't give us formula samples. And yes, she didn't care how it was,
hot, lukewarm as long as it was there. She ate from the hotel buffet, we let her
try everything, loved watermelon, cheerios, potato chips, goldfish Pepperidge
Farm. The other baby with us was younger (almost a year old, Leilani 15mos.) and
she gagged at any solids, could only do cheerios and formula! On the flight from
Nanchang to Beijing, they gave her a pc of white bread, she gagged and threw up
over her mom's shoulder into the nice chinese man's face. He quietly took a
kleenex and wiped his glasses. We didn't know what was worse, our baby screaming
the whole flight or a baby that throws up on a passenger!!! It was too funny at
the time. By the way, no seatbelts for the baby on the plane on the domestic
flight! haha!

HAVE TO HAVE THE BOTTLE HOT HOT HOT.... well, savanah would have taken it fresh
out of the refrigerator. lol

life easy. kids were easy to feed. they give their brand of formula and mix in
it rice cereal. our kiddos never had cereal in a bowl. savanah was just shy of 9
mos old, and one grain of soft mush rice nearly made her gag (texture thing! )
lol i never laughed so hard at the show of trying to get a mushy piece of rice
out of her mouth. she didnt want anything to do with it!

could make bottles before getting our babies. the kids seemed to like NESTLE
brand as it had a kind of sweet taste to it, much like in china. our experience
is not very picky. we didnt change the formula though in case of upset
stomachs.

new family is a big deal. kids who can have a bm with you are not stressing and
that's how you know all is well. amazingly, all the changes in their
einvironment shows itself in this way. we kind of had a bet going on...who's
gonna be first??? lol
