Hi, Pam -
I made my Fenna last year in a worsted weight variegated yarn that was a
combination of merino, angora, mohair and maybe nylon? I remember there was
a fourth fiber, but now I can't remember what. I got it at Rhinebeck. The
skein was 1000 yards, and I didn't have much left over. I used US 10 needles
for a faily open fabric, and it turned out *big*! If I don't tie it up, the
front tails reach the floor on me (I'm 5'4" and ample-sized) . I love it
dearly and wear it almost every day. It was a fun, easy knit - I did most of
mine while on a river boat cruise of the Danube, so it's equally precious
for the memories.

Hi, Anne, and welcome!
We're not that formal!! What I suggest is that you pick a shawl you
want to knit...someone here is likely to have worked on it, or be
ready to try it...let us hear what you're doing, and if you have
questions ask!
We're probably a tad quieter than most groups (I hate to keep asking
what everyone's doing, but occasionally we'll have a flurry of posts,
too, so whatever works for everyone is fine with me!)
Thanks and again, we're glad to hear from you! What shawl would you
like to do first?
(((hugs)))
