Description
This forum is for new and enthusiastic teachers. It's a safe place for teachers who would like to talk about challenges and/or successes they are having with students, curriculum, administration, etc. Where do I find the time to teach all of this? What if I hate the textbook-do I have to use it? What if I work with at-risk kids? How do I find time for hands-on activities? What if I am having trouble with classroom management? This list is not just for asking questions. It is also a great place to share websites and other resources with your colleagues. We are a friendly group. This forum is mainly about teaching, but please expect a few personal comments as relationships begin to form. Student teachers and education majors are also welcome. You might also want to join a grade specific group that includes veteran teachers, i.e., Preschool-teachers, PreK-teachers, Kindergarten-teachers, First-grade-teachers, Second-grade-teachers, Third-grade-teachers, Fourth-grade-teachers, Fifth-grade-teachers, Sixth-grade-teachers, Junior-high-teachers, and High-school-teachers. All these groups have web site addresses that begin with the following prefix:
http://www.yahoo.com/group/ and the group's name as the ending,
e.g., the url address for the 3rd grade group is
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/third-grade-teachers
