Families LUUV is a UUCSS parenting community that gathers to discuss how we can use our UU Purposes and Principles to deliberately shape our parenting styles. At meetings (the first Sunday of every month from 5:00 t0 7:00 pm) and via this email group, we can raise questions and brainstorm possible solutions as a group of people that all, at one time or another, seemed to face similar challenges. Some issues we have discussed are how to answer questions like “What is God”, how to incorporate spirituality, religion, and ritual into our family life, how to help a child through a crisis or stressful situation, and how to handle everyday parenting challenges in a loving and respectful way.
