Dr. David Verrill is a founding
member of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Movement in the United
States. He and his wife Jessamine were among the small group of people
who first welcomed Maharishi Mahesh Yogi to Los Angeles in 1959. This
was the beginning of Dr. Verrill's 49 years of supporting
Maharishi’s plan to spiritually regenerate the world and bring Heaven
on Earth.
Ten years ago Dr. Verrill began to write
down his recollections of those early days with Maharishi, as well as
events from his own early history that influenced the path he took in
life. During this process, he thought very deeply about Maharishi's
knowledge and how that knowledge had shaped not only his own life but
the life and history of the world.
His writings include more than 70 essays
that have been compiled in the book, Oceans upon Oceans of
Knowledge, and illustrated with
historic pictures of the Verrills with Maharishi.
The book offers a rare glimpse into the
life of one of Maharishi's most dedicated supporters, expressed in his
own colorful, delightful and idiosyncratic style.
Dr. Verrill wanted to share his thoughts
and experiences with people around the world, so he has made his book
