I bought my 300S in 1993. At that time I replaced the original white breech seal with a blue one from Beemans. I have stored it cocking arm latched ever since....
If you did not also replace the bumper on the piston, watch for small white pieces of plastic in the transfer port. That is telling you the bumper is breaking...
