What if we used guerrilla gardening to grow food in the unused spaces amidst urban LA?

What if we made the sites public so that anyone who needed food could harvest fresh vegetables?

What if we included a few flowers to beautify barren places (and attract "the good bugs," our insect friends)?

What if we used fun and easy techniques -- like seedballs and working with the natural seasons and allowing food plants to naturally reseed themselves -- to create this bounty?

Imagine "wild harvesting" L.A.!

The purpose of this group is to grow abundant public food in the abandoned spaces around our city. Our first "action" targets the Westchester/LA 90045 area in January 2012.

This yet-unnamed feral vegetables/guerrilla gardening group is a project of Transition Los Angeles.
