I like it too. <grin>.
"Scrillage: The act of selling something only to regret it later." I would
only change it to be "The act of selling your FT-817 only to regret it
later." Unless they are a member of the list, most folks wouldn't
understand.
I think there will be a lot of that going around. One of the local guys
sold his fully-loaded FT-817 in order to fund a new KX3. We were joking
about it.... I told him I couldn't wait to see it. I was really curious if
it was more than twice the radio the FT-817 was, because he was paying more
than twice what he got for his FT-817.
His reply - he thinks I will be disappointed. He hopes he will not be
disappointed. I hope not too.
You see a scrillage message about once a week or so here.... They go like:
"I should have never sold my first FT-817, but now I have another and I am
back". I bet we all can put a call sign or two right along with that
statement. It is a mistake I do not intend to make. I will not say there
isn't a KX3 in my future, although I really think I will wait for the KX4.
But I don't see the FT-817 ever leaving here.
I really see the KX3 more as a replacement to the IC-703+, and for the same
reason the IC-703+ didn't outsell the FT-817 to begin with.

I'd agree he probably meant Sacrilege but Scrillage, a word that has a nice
ring to it and which I half expected to find in an Old English dictionary.
It's not, but I still like it :-)
Scrillage: The act of selling something only to regret it later.
How long before Richard buys another 817 I wonder? Seems to be a common
occurrence judging by previous posts on here...
