Hi Group...
With reference to kanundrum below...
Looking at service manual...
JP3001 in that same corner as speaker jack.
9 pins Pin 7 Speaker Ground Pin 8 SP1 Pin 9 SP2
SP1 to terminal 3 of jack or tip
SP2 to common of jack
Looks like Pins 7-9 easy enough to connect pigtail on back of radio to external
speaker jack that will still turn the Internal speaker on and off same way wired
to JP3001 as above...
Get a few more years out of the Good old FT-100d...Made my first 75m contact on
Little Tarheel II "MEOW" of Screwdriver antennas...
Now to get the W4RT Antenna Boss going...Zoom Zoom Zoom

Subject: [FT100] Audio Output...kaput speaker jack....
Hi Group,
Well that silly problem that all FT-100d have with the speaker jack
becoming loose on pc board. I have taken the PA board out and resoldered that
jack on a couple of FT-100d radios...Why not a pigtail? Pigtails on almost all
other leads...Speaker pigtail would solve that problem!
Woops! on this radio I have damaged the PC board at the back pin on the
jack...No more speaker audio with or without external speaker.
The trace from back pin is so tiny that I can not jumper from end pin to the end
of the trace.
Anyone know a better spot than the speaker jack to wire speaker audio?
I have downloaded service manual to look for other components off the speaker
jack to tie in a pigtailed speaker lead...
Please pass along another speaker point if you know of one.

FT-100d / ATAS-100 and now a Little Tarheel II with no speaker audio.
