FRA Branch 159 and LAFRA Unit 159
FRA Branch 159 meets at 4810 Pine Avenue, Pasadena, TX 77503 on the second Sunday of every month. Meeting day starts with a "pot luck" lunch and social at 1:00 p.m. followed by the regular business meeting at 2:00 p.m.
Fleet Reserve Association (FRA)
Organized in 1924, the FRA is a nonprofit organization of enlisted personnel (active, reserve, retired, and former) of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. There are over 300 FRA Branches worldwide. As a congressionally chartered association, FRA's mission is to preserve and enhance pay, benefits, and quality of life programs for members of the Sea Services. FRA Shipmates meet regularly to promote the interests of the Sea Services, share military fellowship, support local charitable and ceremonial endeavors, and offer assistance to shipmate’s survivors.
FRA Eligibility
You must be an enlisted person of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard, regular or reserve, active duty, retired, or honorably discharged member. Commissioned officers who have at least one day of prior honorable enlisted service in one of the Sea Services are also eligible for membership. Annual dues are $30.
Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association (LAFRA)
Organized in 1930, the LAFRA is chartered to aid, assist and promote all matters pertaining to welfare, social, and patriotic works of the FRA, its members and their families. Our members belong to one of more than 200 Branches worldwide. LAFRA supports the local community by promoting youth activities, Americanism, and charitable causes.
LAFRA Eligibility
You must be either the wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, stepdaughter or granddaughter of members of the FRA; or widow, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, stepdaughter or granddaughter of persons who were members at the time of death or eligible to be members of the FRA at the time of death, and at least 16 years old. Annual dues are $25.
